Chapter 1 - reborn

"Sir, we are slowly losing, and almost 5 million of our soldiers have died."

Upon hearing this, Aric was furious, so he looked at his general of the soldiers, Jarek.

"H-HOW ARE WE LOSING?!"

Hearing Aric's angry voice, Jarek explained.

"We were betrayed by two allied countries, and the four nations we control are slowly rebelling as well."

Aric became even angrier at what he heard, so he slammed the table hard.

"DAMN IT!!"

Aric let out a deep sigh.

"WORTHLESS ALLIES, THIS ALLIANCE WITH THEM IS WORTHLESS!!"

Alaric remembered how powerful his country once was.

'Yes, I am a dictator, seeking immense power, and I am a ruthless dictator.'

But now, he felt the consequences of what he had done.

'I used to think I was the strongest.'

Alaric stood up from his seat.

"This nation has no future."

Jarek remained silent.

Alaric looked out the window of his office.

"Sigh... This battle is pointless, a huge waste."

"Yes, it really is pointless."

Suddenly, Alaric felt a gun pointed at his back.

"J-Jarek, what are you doing?!"

But Jarek remained silent, his eyes filled with wrath, glaring at Alaric.

He spoke.

"You are a worthless leader... Millions have died because of you, millions have lost their families because of you!"

And Jarek cocked his gun.

"ALL OF THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE OF YOU!!"

The gun Jarek held fired, and the bullet struck Alaric's head.

Alaric felt the intense heat of the bullet hitting his head.

His vision slowly darkened.

"A-Am I going to die here?... Such a worthless death."

Until his vision went completely black.

...

Suddenly, Alaric felt something.

"W-What is this?"

Gradually, Alaric opened his eyes and was shocked.

"What place is this?!"

He tried to move his body but couldn't control it well, so he looked at his hands.

Alaric was extremely surprised.

"W-WAIT, WHY IS THIS BODY A BABY'S?!"

He looked around and realized he was in a luxurious place.

Skip...

Six years passed.

Alaric is now looking out the window of his room, seeing the vast kingdom under the rule of Eldoria.

------------------

His name is now Lucian Ashford.

He is a prince of the kingdom called Eldora. His life has been strict, with almost no freedom. He is now seven years old.

He has yellow hair, a handsome face, and beautiful blue eyes.

A knock came at the door of his room.

"Knock... knock... knock."

"Come in," said Lucian.

The door opened.

Lucian saw a Royal Knight enter his room.

"You are being summoned by the queen to the dining room."

The queen is Lucian's mother, named Celestya. She is the most powerful warrior in the kingdom, because he guided by a Phoenix.

Lucian sighed.

He walked out of his room toward the dining room, followed by the Royal Knight.

As he walked, Lucian felt his body.

'For now, I need to strengthen my body before I create a mana core.'

Lucian read in a book that to create a mana core in the body, one must be physically strong and well-nourished to endure the pain of creating the mana core.

Lucian sighed.

"Sigh... A fantasy world, and I don't even know why I'm alive in it!"

When he reached the door of the dining room, he took a deep breath and opened the door.

Upon opening it, he saw a simple yet elegant dining room with a fairly large table in front.

There was a lot of delicious food, and he saw his mother, simply sitting and eating.

As Lucian entered, his mother looked at him casually.

"My child, sit here."

Lucian immediately obeyed and sat, facing his mother.

A maid approached and brought food for Lucian.

Lucian remained silent, staring at his mother, noticing she still looked 20 years old even though she was 70years old.

Lucian sighed and asked,

"Why did you summon me, mother?"

Celestya looked at Lucian simply.

"The humans and elves have formed an alliance to fight the dragons and demons."

Lucian thought.

'Hmm... What connection does this have with why she summoned me?'

So he asked,

"Okay... Humans and elves formed an alliance, so what's the connection to why you called me?"

"The connection is... The princess of the elves is the one you are destined to marry in the future."

Lucian was shocked upon hearing this.

"W-What?... Marry?"

Celestya nodded.

"Yes, she is your destined bride, and she will visit here tomorrow, so you must prepare."

Upon hearing this, Lucian let out a deep sigh.

"Sigh... Why me?"

Celestya didn't answer Lucian's question.

Noticing that his mother wouldn't answer, Lucian could only sigh.

He just began to eat, and while eating, Celestya spoke again.

"The name of the elf princess is Liyara. Tomorrow, both of you will begin training to prepare for entering the academy."

Lucian remained silent but was inwardly annoyed.

'Damn this life!'

"I can read your thoughts, child."

Lucian was startled upon hearing this, looking at his mother who was also looking at him seriously.

"Do not question the life I have given you; it is also for your future."

Hearing this, Lucian sighed.

"Yes, I'm sorry, mother."

Several hours passed.

Finally, Lucian was walking back to his room, followed by the Royal Knight.

As he walked, Lucian was extremely annoyed.

'THIS LIFE IS REALLY ANNOYING.'

He sighed.

'SIGH!! Once I get stronger, I will escape this palace!!'

When he reached his room, he immediately entered, leaving the Royal Knight outside to stand guard.

As soon as he entered, Lucian shouted,

"DAMN IT!"

He shouted confidently, knowing his room was soundproof.

After releasing his frustration, he looked at the library in his room.

Lucian immediately went to the library, grabbed five books, and upon getting them, went to his bed, holding the five books.

He immediately lay down and began reading. Each book he read was purely theoretical.

He understood why all the books on mana techniques were hidden from him.

Having mana at a young age is extremely dangerous and harmful to the body.

But for him, this was just pointless protection given to the weak.

He looked at his hands.

"I am different from the weak because I promise to be the strongest in the future!"

The next day.

Lucian was extremely sleepy.

"I really regret not sleeping, sigh."

He looked at all the books he read overnight, almost 16 books in total.

"But... Reading books isn't bad either, since my knowledge of this world is still limited!"

Suddenly, Lucian heard a knock on his door from the Royal Knight.

"Prince... You need to get dressed the elf princess is arriving at the palace."

Hearing this, Lucian sighed and immediately stood up from lying down.

"Okay... Every strongest person goes through this, pointless situation in life."

Several minutes passed.

He was being dressed by three maids in elegant clothing.

Annoyed, Lucian sighed and asked the maids,

"Is this going to take long?"

One of the maids smiled.

"Almost done, Prince."

When he was fully dressed in noble attire, Lucian stood properly.

"Alright... Now I need to go to the dining room."

He sighed, and when he arrived, two Royal Knights were guarding the dining room door.

Upon seeing him, the two Royal Knights immediately opened the door.

And Lucian immediately entered the dining room.

Upon entering, he was shocked to see a beautiful elf, but noticed that there was no one else in the dining room

Only he saw was a beautiful elf, the same age as him.

"Wait... Why is she the only one in the dining room?"
