Chapter 80 - The Exam Begins

The agreement between Ryunosuke and Sae was as follows:

Ryunosuke must fight for the maximum benefit for his own class, which was Class C. In this uninhabited island exam, the points obtained must not be less than 200 points. At the same time, he also had to bring down the current Class A (previously Class B).

After two months of "cleansing," the class where Arisu was located overtook the position again and became the new Class A.

Actually that was natural, because from the beginning the point difference between the original Class A and Class B was not large. Although the initial result had changed due to Ryunosuke's interference, half a year was enough for them to catch up.

The current Class A remained the same class as when they first entered school (Arisu's Class). This time, to extort Sae's last money, Ryunosuke provided a little service "bonus." He agreed to cut Class A's points by 200 points. That way, the point difference created was 400 class points.

This part was already written in the contract and could not be changed. Sae herself couldn't believe it.

(Has this kid repented? He's giving me this much profit margin even though I only paid 1 million points?)

Sae knew very well how complicated this exam content was. Guessing other classes' leaders could indeed provide 50 class points. However, one wrong guess and the points collected during the exam would be forfeited to zero. Worse yet, if your own class leader was guessed by others, points would be deducted by 50.

To make a class lose exactly 200 points, Ryunosuke had to ensure the other three classes guessed that class's leader simultaneously, while making that target class itself guess wrong about other classes' leaders twice.

An operation like this was almost impossible to carry out. However, Ryunosuke's words forced her to believe. Because the man in front of her was someone who had created miracles; not only making Class D rise to Class C in two months, but also destroying the old Class C until their points were zero. Even the old Class C's homeroom teacher and class leader were eliminated by him.

Really terrifying.

Sae's fingers trembled slightly. She wanted to light a cigarette to calm her turbulent heart, but she failed to do so repeatedly because her hands kept trembling. Ryunosuke kindly took the lighter from her and lit the cigarette for her.

After instinctively saying thank you, Sae immediately inhaled the cigarette deeply... From the way she inhaled, it was clear she was a heavy smoker.

Sae suddenly choked on her own smoke. Ryunosuke patted her back to relieve the tightness.

After calming down, Sae felt a bit embarrassed. "Sorry, I embarrassed myself in front of a student. I'm really an incompetent teacher..."

"Turns out you're self-aware too." Commented Ryunosuke with a flat face.

Sae's face immediately reddened with annoyance. She raised her black high heels and tried to step on his foot. However, Ryunosuke immediately dodged with one far jump.

"Ha! You're not the only person who wants to step on my foot. I already know how to anticipate this move."

"Step on the toe? Already doesn't work on me!" Ryunosuke said proudly.

Sae felt incredulous. "Is that something to be proud of? By the way, are you often stepped on by women?"

Ryunosuke's expression immediately turned gloomy. "There is one person, but that's none of your business!"

Sae chose to shut up, realizing there were things that shouldn't be asked. After the agreement was done, Ryunosuke returned.

Shortly after, the cruise ship arrived at its destination, an uninhabited island that was the exam location.

Here, students had to survive for one week. The school provided 300 class points that could be used for expenses on the island. Unused points would be added to next month's total class points.

On the other side, Arisu couldn't go down to the island because of her leg condition. She could only give instructions to Katsuragi Kohei to act according to plan.

Arisu's gaze looked very deep.

"Remember my words earlier. Don't do things you're not sure about, don't feel smart, and don't do unnecessary things."

Kohei, who was no longer the class leader, could only listen to the plan arranged by Arisu, the new leader.

"Whether it's the current Class B or Class D, if you're sure, you may guess who their leader is. But remember one thing..." Arisu raised her cane and walked slowly beside Kohei.

"Never try to guess the leader from Class C."

Kohei didn't understand. "Why can't we guess them?"

Arisu smiled faintly, remembering the two "monsters" in Class C: Ayanokouji Kiyotaka and Akasaka Ryunosuke. She shook her head. "There are two monsters there. You won't be able to guess."

Kohei felt confused. He could understand one monster meant was Ryunosuke because his reputation was already very famous; entering the student council in two days and destroying another class in two months. His power had become legendary through rumors.

But who was the other monster? Was there a figure that great in Class C besides Ryunosuke?

Arisu didn't explain further; she only warned Kohei to obey her orders.

Yahiko, Kohei's loyal follower, couldn't accept it and interrupted. "On what basis are you ordering my brother?"

Arisu's gaze became very sharp like a knife, directly stabbing toward him.

Yahiko swallowed and said nervously, "Well... I'm not afraid of you! I'm just worried you carrying that cane might easily fall... I'm really not afraid of you!"

Yahiko immediately hid behind Kohei's back.

Kohei sighed resignedly. "Enough, don't be silly. Sakayanagi is our leader, we must obey orders."

Hearing the boss he admired speak so, Yahiko could only agree reluctantly.

Arisu's plan was actually simple: guess the leaders of Class B (Honami) and Class D (Hiyori) to get 100 points. As for Class C, she chose not to touch it. As long as those two monsters were there, it was impossible for her to guess correctly. That's why she only targeted the weak.

If they didn't guess wrong and could save the use of 300 points from the school, Class A would still get stable results above 200 points. This was Arisu's plan, a strategy born from necessity.

When betting with Ryunosuke, she didn't yet know the exam content would be like this. Although she was the daughter of the school board chairman, her father highly upheld fairness and wouldn't leak exam secrets to her, and she herself didn't want that either.

Arisu sighed deeply while massaging her uncomfortable leg. "Well, this time I have to admit I'm unlucky... I can only accept this bad fate..."
