Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Heading to the Land of Rain

Takuno did not know that Obito had already approached the Akatsuki and intended to recruit Nagato and his two companions.

However, he had already received news from a crow in the distant Land of Rain.

Previously, at such a great distance, the range of his Clairvoyance Technique would not have been able to directly affect a crow in the Land of Rain, but now he had more than enough Chakra.

While certainly not as much as Uzumaki Naruto, perhaps not even reaching the level of 'Level 10', he at least had 'Level 9', which was probably a dozen 'cards' worth.

After all, the amount of Chakra tends to increase exponentially later on.

Currently, Takuno was quite satisfied with his Chakra amount, and he could clearly feel that his Chakra was still increasing, and he would eventually reach 'Level 10', so there was no need to rush.

However, Takuno thought about Jiraiya and Might Guy's 'Level 10' and Uzumaki Naruto's 'Level 10'... it could only be said that there were differences even between 'Level 10's. Jiraiya and Might Guy's 'Level 10' was their absolute limit, while Uzumaki Naruto's 'Level 10' meant his upper limit was 'Level 10'!

Therefore, compared to Uzumaki Naruto or Senju Hashirama, 'Level 10' was probably just a starting point.

Takuno shook his head as he pondered, then he formed a hand seal to connect to the sight and hearing of the crow far away in the Land of Rain.

Then, he saw several Rain ninja discussing amongst themselves.

"I heard that someone from Konoha seems to have arrived!" one person said.

"Hmm, why would Konoha send people at this time? The war isn't over yet," another person asked, sounding a bit surprised.

"Who knows, maybe they're here to talk about the war, it's probably coming to an end. The battlefield isn't nearly as fierce as it used to be," the first person replied.

"Shh! Keep your voices down." At this moment, another person shushed them with a finger, then looked around and said, "I heard that guy from Konoha with the scar on his chin came to talk to our leader about the Akatsuki in our country!"

"Hmm? Is that so?" The others looked at him with surprise and curiosity.

Feeling everyone's gaze, he said with a hint of pride, "I was the guard on the day of the meeting, and I vaguely overheard some things!"

As he spoke, he puffed out his chest, completely oblivious to a crow on the tall tree above their heads, preening its feathers with its beak.

To the ninja world, crows were a common sight, so few people suspected they might be Ninja beasts gathering intelligence.

In their eyes, Ninja beasts capable of gathering intelligence should be those that could fight or actively scout, like dogs.

Crows, however, were too inefficient for intelligence gathering; normally, no one would bother training crows to be their Summoned Beasts.

In fact, this was true; even Takuno's crows wouldn't actively gather intelligence. He had to assign specific tasks to each one, and even frequently use their contract to tell them what to do to achieve this level of effectiveness.

Since the Summoned Beasts weren't strong enough, the summoner just had to put in more effort.

Takuno dispelled the Clairvoyance Technique; he had already confirmed his suspicions when he heard that Konoha ninja had gone to the Land of Rain.

With the war not yet over, the only person who would go to the Land of Rain at this time and directly seek out Hanzō would be Danzo, who wanted to cause trouble for the Akatsuki.

As for why Danzo wanted to cause trouble for the Akatsuki, saying he wanted the Rinnegan didn't make sense, because even Hanzō in the Land of Rain didn't know about the Rinnegan's existence until he killed Yahiko.

Danzo, far away in Konoha, would know even less. His reason for helping Hanzō was probably truly to gain a powerful supporter to help him secure the position of Hokage.

It could only be said that he brought it upon himself; if he hadn't lived in a large village like Konoha, even if Nagato didn't want to easily confront him, he probably would have been killed by Nagato's Six Paths of Pain long ago, just like Hanzō.

At this moment, Takuno looked at the Shadow Clones still practicing; they had finished cutting leaves and piercing trees with Kunai, and were now beginning to incorporate Wind Release nature into the Rasengan.

But in such a short time, they hadn't yet learned Wind Release: Rasengan.

And now there was no time for him to continue studying quietly.

Soon, Takuno found a suitable mission and left the village.

This time he did not use the Summoning Jutsu. Although there were no Summoning Jutsu points he had placed within the Land of Rain, he did have points relatively close to it.

He just wasn't in a hurry. Hanzō and Danzo wanted to move against the Akatsuki, and the reason they used to lure them out was... to borrow the Akatsuki's power to propose a peace negotiation with the three great nations of Fire, Wind, and Earth.

Yahiko, as the leader of the Akatsuki, was an idealist full of ideals for peace, under Jiraiya's tutelage.

So even if he knew it might be a trap, he couldn't possibly let this opportunity to stop the war pass him by.

But this meeting wouldn't happen immediately; the Akatsuki would first discuss it, and then agree on a meeting time.

This amount of time was completely sufficient for Takuno.

At this moment, Takuno, for the first time in a while, used his own foot speed to rush towards the Land of Rain, and his speed was incredibly fast, seemingly not just due to the Body Flicker Technique.

That's right, the reason he didn't choose to travel by Summoning Jutsu was to practice his speed.

Speed = Own ability - Resistance

If one wanted to change one's own ability, in his previous life, it would naturally be through diligent practice, and in the ninja world, it was the same, along with using lightning to enhance muscle activity.

But currently, Takuno had not yet mastered it, so he hadn't used it yet.

He was currently mainly practicing reducing the resistance he encountered, which meant using Wind Release to reduce the air resistance he faced when moving quickly, and even using wind speed to accelerate his movement.

The effect of tailwinds on running is well-known; even in his previous life, world-class sprinters could easily break world records with huge blowers behind them, demonstrating the influence of wind on speed.

Takuno's idea was to use Wind Release to reduce external resistance and provide external thrust, and then use Lightning Release to increase his own ability.

If he could practice these two methods until they became instinctive, then his speed would definitely not be slow!

Among all martial arts, speed is paramount!

Takuno was currently practicing in this way; merely knowing the theory wasn't enough for this kind of thing.

Because in a battle truly concerning life and death, one couldn't afford to be distracted by controlling Wind Release and Lightning Release, so it had to be practiced for a long time until it became instinct!

And so, Takuno continued to practice as he rushed towards the Land of Rain!
