Chapter 1 - Memories

Notes:

1. This story is inspired from my own life. And the story may include many real events, imaginary events or changed events. But 99% events are imaginary.

2. This story is mainly told by the POV of both the writer who knows everything and the character. So, there can be mixtures of storytelling type.

"When I grow up, I want to be a Cricketer."

Five years little boy, Enes expressed his dream to his mother, while playing with his elder brother inside the house. That was possibly the first dream he saw and confidently express.

"But you don't have your right arm. How are you even going to play?"

His mother's direct discourage.

It's not that Enes did not have his right arm, just that he was left-handed. So, his right arm was functionally less useful than commons'.

"But there are also left-handed players,"

The little boy counter argued. But that was of no use against his mother.

"You can't even use your right arm properly, unlike them."

Dissatisfactions for Enes.

"If he tries, he will be able to do."

That was the first time his brother talked for him, at much he can remember. But still, that was also of no use.

"He can't even run fast."

That was the ending of the arguments, and their mother won as always.

Normally, parents support children's dreams, especially when the child is only a few years and have not yet started their education life. But his mother, no, his parents were different. They were never supporting him for his dream.

His mother tried heart and soul to convince him on the opinion of her that he is not suitable to become a cricketer. And on the other side, his father never cared about his dream or nodream. He just cared about him to become a successful modern servant.

==1st January, 2014==

Enes entered the gate of Nichebonee High School. It was such a large campus. May be there were three different buildings in total in the campus. Divided into three different parts. Each part had its own play ground.

Enes's destiny was in the second part of the campus. Mainly, it was the first part in terms of academic year. But second in terms of positioning from the main road. Yes, the school was just beside the main road.

His mother left him on his classroom.

A new journey of life, isn't it.

Yes, it is.

Enes passed two whole years in that little building, little classrooms, and little chairs and desks.

But this little little things were also cruel, just like the world. Everyday, he had to face something like 'Bully'. Though it can't be totally called bullying, as Enes was also fighting against his classmates.

Almost everyday, he used to fight in the classroom once or twice. So, it mainly looks like a childish war for dominance.

But who taught them about 'Dominance' at this little age?

One day, one of his friends glazed some of his chocolates. And child Enes took one and fled. Though his friend followed him, he couldn't catch. Both he and his friend got out of the building and put their foots on the playground.

"See, you can't even catch me?"

"You better come here.

"No, I won't. Unless you promise me that you will not come to get the chocolate."

"I promise."

The foolish boy was too innocent for the world. So, he believed him. And, he was betrayed. His chocolate got snatched away.

"Your classmate, **Mesut** is no longer. Everyone tell your parents to pray for him."

Enes's expression was not sad. Obviously, what kind of expression will a six years boy give?

That same night, Enes told his mother about it. But her face showed no sadness, as long as Enes can remember,

She was having a very delightful conversation with her guests. And she told the thing of Mesut's death so casually, like a death of a child is matter of these adult's concern.

Little Enes's brain didn't think that deep, as he also was a little sad losing a friend, but not depressed.

But Mesut was the friend Enes thought to be his closest in that two years.
