Just as Masata and the other two slowly drifted into sleep, darkness quietly spread beneath the glow of the brightly lit city.
"Did you read the paper? He actually became a teacher…"
"What happens if the Symbol of Peace is killed by villains?"
"What kind of world would that leave behind…?"
Morning at U.A.
"So—how does it feel listening to All Might's lectures?"
The news that All Might had become a teacher at U.A. had already spread like wildfire. Early that morning, Masata and the others were surrounded by reporters the moment they arrived.
"All Might?" Masata said seriously after a moment of thought.
"He's a real man."
"Uh… student, I'm asking how you feel about his teaching—wait! Aren't you the student who defeated the sludge villain?"
That single sentence was like blood in the water.
The reporters swarmed Masata instantly.
"Hahaha, that's right! I'm famous now!" Masata laughed boldly.
"Line up, line up—one at a time!"
Just as Masata was about to host an impromptu press conference, a hand suddenly grabbed him and yanked him toward the school gate.
It was Aizawa Shouta.
"All Might doesn't have class today," Aizawa said flatly while dragging Masata away.
"Blocking the entrance interferes with students attending lessons. Please leave."
Yaoyorozu Momo and Uraraka Ochaco seized the chance and slipped through the gate as well.
"What's his problem?! We were just interviewing!"
"Seriously, what kind of attitude is that?"
"I've been waiting here for two days and haven't even seen All Might!"
Behind the crowd, a slender silver-haired man watched silently. His bangs shadowed his eyes as his hands clenched.
"…All Might."
Class A — Morning Homeroom
Masata was still grumbling by the time he reached the classroom.
"Seriously, why didn't he let me say a few more words on camera? Rare exposure like that doesn't come often!"
"Hey, Masata!" Kirishima Eijiro called as he walked over.
"Were you surrounded this morning too? I barely escaped the reporters myself!"
"Ah… yeah. Lucky you," Masata replied weakly before collapsing into his seat.
"Hey! Big Bro!"
Minoru Mineta suddenly popped up beside him with a suspicious grin.
"Did something good happen last night?"
"Huh?" Masata blinked.
"…Good thing?"
After briefly recalling Ochaco training seriously under the moonlight, he hesitated.
"…I guess so?"
"I KNEW IT!!!" Mineta howled.
"The three of you came to school together, all exhausted—DAMN IT!!! Why didn't something like that ever happen to me?!"
Masata ignored him. Aizawa Shouta had already entered the room.
"Quiet."
"I reviewed yesterday's combat footage," Aizawa continued.
"Bakugo—your ability is outstanding. Stop acting like a child.
Midoriya—did you injure your arm again?
Igarashi and Mineta—their cooperation was effective. Everyone should take notes."
"Now, onto today's topic."
"Although it's a bit sudden—"
"We're selecting a class representative."
Election Time
"WHAT?! That's so school-like!"
Ashido Mina and Ochaco cheered immediately.
"I want to be class rep!"
"Pick me!"
"My campaign promise is skirts thirty centimeters above the knee!"
The classroom erupted.
In the Hero Course, a class representative wasn't just a messenger—it meant leadership, responsibility, and future potential as a hero.
Even Masata, who had been half-asleep, was interested.
Soldiers who don't want to be generals aren't good soldiers.
"I propose a secret ballot," Iida Tenya said, standing sharply.
"Fair and equal!"
"But we barely know each other," Asui Tsuyu pointed out calmly.
"Won't everyone just vote for themselves?"
"That's exactly why it works," Masata said, sitting up.
"Anyone who still gets votes under these conditions is trustworthy."
Iida's eyes lit up.
"…You're right!"
Amazingly easy to convince, Masata thought.
"Decide before the end of class," Aizawa muttered, already crawling into a sleeping bag.
Results
Votes were counted.
Igarashi Masata — 5 votes.
Masata froze.
One vote was his own.
One from Yaoyorozu Momo.
One from Ochaco.
But the other two?
He looked up.
Kirishima and Mineta were both giving him enthusiastic thumbs-ups.
"OHHH! Kirishima—that's manly! You're my brother now!"
"And Grape—you're officially my little brother!"
Kirishima beamed.
Mineta… sat up very straight.
Masata was elected Class A Representative with a clear lead.
Yaoyorozu Momo received two votes and became Vice Representative, thanks to her calm analysis during training.
"I promise to lead Class A to glory!" Masata declared dramatically from the podium.
Lunch Break
"Masata, that speech was awesome!" Kirishima said between bites of grilled meat.
"You're worthy of being the man I respect!"
"Hahaha, thanks!"
No long speeches were needed between men.
Suddenly—
BEEP—BEEP—BEEP!
An alarm blared from a nearby radio.
