I was completely lost in pleasure when I felt a sharp pain pierce through my heart. It was so painful that I nearly collapsed on top of Innocent.
One word came to mind when I felt that pain, Valerie.
Something must have happened to her again.
However, the pain disappeared soon after and I thought it was a false alarm. 'Stupid mate bond.' I thought to myself as I resumed our lovemaking.
Once I was done, I asked Innocent to rest and got dressed then headed to the hospital.
I wanted to see what that woman had done to cause me such pain.
When I walked into her room, it was empty.
My heart nearly skipped out of my chest when I saw the empty bed. I forgot all about my anger and ran out like a madman.
"Where is Valerie?" I grabbed a nurse passing by and shook her as I asked.
The nurse looked so scared that she couldn't even utter a word, but I didn't have time to entertain her.
"Where is Valerie? I am asking you a question." I shouted at her.
