As dusk settled, Viridian City was ablaze with lights.
On the road leading to the city center, Officer Jenny sat in her guard post, broadcasting her daily address to the residents.
"All residents of Viridian City, thank you for your hard work! Dinner time should be over by now. Recently, there have been frequent incidents of pickpockets and thieves kidnapping Pokémon, so please be vigilant! Try to avoid going out at night!"
Just as she finished speaking, Officer Jenny suddenly saw a furtive figure running from the end of the road through the guard post's glass window.
"Huh? Another trainer coming?"

"What?!" Officer Jenny gasped, covering her mouth in surprise. "Could it be the Entei from the legends of the Johto region?"
"That's right."
Officer Jenny's eyes widened even further, but she immediately realized something.
Someone capable of catching such a Pokémon must be a powerful trainer, right?

Officer Jenny looked up at Fuyuki atop Entei, not underestimating him because of his age.

She saluted him and said, "Hello, Trainer, I'm Officer Jenny from Viridian City. Lately, there have been many thieves and pickpockets in the city, so I need to check every visitor. Please show me your ID!"
Fuyuki nodded. He remembered that in the anime, Ash was also questioned by Officer Jenny as a suspicious person when he passed by here.
He took out the Pokédex given to him by Professor Oak and handed it to her.
