Chapter 31 - Chapter 31 Home Construction

The autumn rain fell softly.

Fuyuki stood in his secret base, looking at his hands with considerable surprise.

The Secret Power wasn't a one-time use ability, but rather a skill, a Pokémon move he had mastered. Once acquired, it could be used freely thereafter.

Currently, he could use this ability a maximum of three times a day, but this didn't seem to be the limit; it would gradually increase based on his growth.

Does this also mean that humans are actually a type of Pokémon? Fuyuki couldn't help but wonder.

However, it didn't matter whether it was true or not.

Because there was something very important waiting for him to do.

As a secret base, one room wasn't enough.

Luckily, he still had two uses left today, so Fuyuki decided to use them all at once.

The space inside Mount Tensei was vast. Under Entei's puzzled gaze, Fuyuki walked to a wall in the room and stretched out his hand.

The next second, the familiar white light bloomed once more.

As the white light faded, another separate room appeared before Fuyuki and Entei.

Entei's pupils contracted.

However, what surprised it even more was that the little guy's actions hadn't stopped!

He walked to another wall and repeated his actions.

Then, another spacious room appeared there.

"Little guy..." Entei stared blankly at this scene, not expecting the little guy's power to be so great!

"Alright!" Looking at his masterpiece, Fuyuki clapped his hands in satisfaction.

Entei slowly walked forward, looking at the room with him.

"This is...?" Fuyuki grinned, explaining, "This is Raikou's room, this is Marshadow's room, and this is our room!"

Entei: "...They don't need so much space."

"That makes sense!" Fuyuki nodded thoughtfully. Raikou rarely returned throughout the year, and Marshadow spent twenty-four hours a day in the Shadow World.

"Since that's the case…" Fuyuki suddenly had another good idea: "Then let's convert this room into a convenient bathroom for showering!"

"As for the rooms here, we can use them as food storage!" With 1000 Shock Points left, Fuyuki said, opening the system shop and continuing the renovation work.

Fuyuki: "..."

Can't afford it, absolutely can't afford it!

Fuyuki immediately deflated.

"What's wrong, little one?" Entei asked immediately.

"Not enough power... I can't continue modifying it."

Fuyuki described its predicament in a way Entei could understand: "Just like how the Raikou needs electrical energy in his body to use thunder."

Entei understood; Little One didn't have enough energy!

"Yes, he's so small now, yet he's already done quite well.

But… as the little guy's father, Entei couldn't bear to see him so dejected.

"It'll be better when you grow up," it comforted him.

Fuyuki couldn't help but sigh again, his little face filled with worry. The main problem was that he'd practically exhausted all the Shock Points from the wild Pokémon around here. Even if he went up to them again and performed magic tricks or spoke Pokémon language, they wouldn't be shocked anymore.

"I want to grow up quickly!" Fuyuki said.

Entei licked his face, comforting him, '"You'll grow up."

With the remaining thousand Shock Points, it wasn't enough to buy anything, so Fuyuki decided to save them for later.

He nestled on Entei's fluffy, soft belly, listening to the gentle autumn rain outside the cave.

The cave was dry and warm, the wool carpet on the wooden floor was fluffy and soft, and the rain outside was drizzling. In this atmosphere, Fuyuki quickly felt a wave of drowsiness wash over him.

Entei quietly let him use it as a pillow, keeping him company.

Fuyuki's head rested on Entei's belly. Since being transported to the Pokémon world, he had never imagined that he would one day have this kind of relationship with Entei, one of the three legendary beasts.

Fate is truly wondrous.

"Entei," Fuyuki couldn't help but call out.

Entei's gaze immediately fell on him.

"What was Entei doing before?" Fuyuki asked.

Entei paused, then replied, "Before... like Raikou, I would travel across this land, helping Pokémon in need. This was a mission entrusted to us by Lord Ho-Oh."

"Lord Ho-Oh?"

"Yes." Entei nodded its massive head, looking up through the rain outside the cave into the distance.

"Raikou, Suicune, and I should have died three hundred years ago. Lord Ho-Oh revived us with his power, and since then, we have been searching for him."

"Died?" Fuyuki was slightly taken aback, then recalled the origins of the three legendary Pokémon.

It was said that they were originally three unknown Pokémon who perished in a fire at the Scorched Tower in Ecruteak City.

Ho-Oh revived them, and they became Ho-Oh's messengers observing humanity.

The legend is true... Fuyuki couldn't help but look at Entei.

Through Entei's eyes, Fuyuki seemed to see that day.

That night, a torrential downpour began, accompanied by thunder and lightning. The lightning struck the tower, igniting a massive fire.

The three Pokémon were trapped inside and burned alive.

Then Ho-Oh appeared, casting down sacred ash and reviving the three Pokémon.

During their revival, they merged with their surroundings, gaining new power.

Ultimately, the lightning that struck the tower became Raikou, the fire that destroyed the tower became Entei, and the falling rain became Suicune.

Looking at the always majestic cat before him, Fuyuki felt a pang of sadness.

How much pain must they have felt when they were trapped in the tower, burned to death?

"Did it hurt?" Fuyuki couldn't help but ask.

Entei paused slightly, then realized the little one was asking about their feelings when they died.

But… that day was so long ago, so long that Entei had forgotten what it felt like.

To avoid worrying the little one, Entei gently shook his head: "It doesn't hurt."

"Liar," Fuyuki muttered.
