Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Iron-Headed Girl Runti

"Haha! What incredible luck! No wonder Lady Luck favors me. Now that I'm here, there's no question the position among the Flying Six is mine!"

A young boy of around ten, wearing overalls, laughed loudly with excitement. The thought of finally being able to surpass his older sister, who had always bossed him around, made him even more thrilled.

"Pegivan, you are no match for me. You should leave now if you value yourself. I do not want to fight you," Yamato called out in a stern voice.

"Hmph! Yamato, I know you're strong, but don't think I'm the same kid I was six months ago. I've changed, completely," Pegivan said confidently.

A few months ago, he and his sister had sneaked into Kaido's treasure vault, each claiming one of the two Ancient Zoan Devil Fruits stored there. He had become far stronger since then.

"Watch this, Yamato. My power!"

Pegivan grinned with confidence. Then, under the moonlight, his body began to transform.

Rip!

His clothes tore apart as he swelled in size, growing from a short 1.7 meters into a towering, ferocious dinosaur.

Ancient Zoan Spinosaurus Form!

"Hahaha! How's that? Scared stiff yet? Understandable, I was once the ruler of all land creatures!" Pegivan laughed triumphantly.

"I see. So you are an Ancient Zoan user now. Since you insist on fighting, I will play along," Yamato said, stepping forward with the intent to get Rosha out of the way.

"Wait, leave that boy to me," Rosha interjected, stepping past Yamato and facing Pegivan's spinosaurus form.

"No matter who goes first, the outcome is the same. But just in case, let me ask you are the man named Rosha who Kaido brought back today, right?" Pegivan asked.

"That's me," Rosha said calmly, nodding.

"Good!" Pegivan's eyes gleamed. The dinosaur surged violently, spinning in place.

Swish!

A sharp gust of wind accompanied the swinging tail. Pegivan's massive dinosaur tail whipped toward Rosha with overwhelming force.

Rosha did not dodge or move, letting the tail strike him.

Boom!

The ground exploded with flying debris and dust, but Rosha remained standing, motionless.

"Huh?" Pegivan's head seemed covered in question marks.

What was happening? He was in his spinosaurus form the apex predator on land! A tail strike like this could easily crush a cow, yet…

"Did you skip lunch too?" Rosha asked.

With that level of force, Pegivan's strikes would not improve Rosha's Armored Dragon Slayer proficiency at all.

"Don't get cocky! That was just a warm-up. Here comes my true strength!" Pegivan roared.

He retreated several meters, then charged with sudden acceleration, the ground trembling under his massive feet.

"Take my rocket headbutt!"

Pegivan launched a powerful headbutt learned from his sister, crashing into Rosha.

The result was the same. Loud thunder, small rain. Rosha did not budge.

"I thought you might dodge into the sea, so I held back a bit," Pegivan muttered, making an excuse for his ineffectiveness.

"No strength in your attacks, and you want to be an officer?" Rosha chuckled.

"What did you say?" Pegivan's ears twitched at the disdain in Rosha's tone. Rage immediately flared. "Fine! You've angered me! I won't hold back anymore. Even if I die, I won't care!"

Pegivan's eyes turned fierce. He opened the spinosaurus's massive mouth, rows of sharp teeth glinting coldly in the moonlight.

Roar!

Pegivan bit down on Rosha's upper body.

Sizzle!

Sparks flew as the sharp teeth clashed against Rosha's body.

"Too hard!"

Pegivan's pupils shrank. He could not find an excuse this time. He finally realized the gravity of the situation.

His spinosaurus bite could easily crush boulders. Steel would still leave marks. A normal human body would be torn apart instantly.

Yet, this man stood unyielding.

Was his body made of iron? No. Even iron couldn't be this hard. Diamond maybe?

"Little dinosaur, are you trying to tickle me?" Rosha said with a smile.

"Not done yet!" Pegivan refused to admit defeat. He struck at Rosha's head, arms, and thighs, trying to find a weak point in his steel-like body.

After several minutes, Pegivan had broken a few of his own teeth. Rosha remained unmoved.

"There's no way you have no weak spots!"

Unbearable!

Pegivan bit with all his might. Rosha flipped behind him, grabbed his tail with one hand, and gave a slight twist.

Bang!

The massive spinosaurus flew into the air and slammed into the ground.

Ugh!

Pegivan spat blood, his eyes rolling back.

Bang, bang, bang, bang!

Rosha, in full Hulk mode, pounded Pegivan repeatedly, leaving the coast scarred with craters.

By the tenth slam, Pegivan was completely unconscious.

Rosha casually tossed the out cold Pegivan aside, then realized something. He pulled off Pegivan's overalls, which were almost destroyed during his fights with Kaido and the bites he had taken.

He put them on himself, then grabbed Pegivan's cape and hat. The ensemble looked bizarre but not too ridiculous.

"Pegi-chan!"

A sweet, high-pitched voice called from behind. Rosha immediately recognized her. It was the older sister of the dinosaur duo from the Beasts Pirates.

After defeating the little one, here came the big one. It was international protocol.

Rosha turned to speak, but the girl, wearing a pink mask and a short dress, leapt onto him mid-air, landing squarely on his chest.

Originally, the dinosaur sister, Runti, intended to ride her brother's neck as usual.

Rosha's sudden turn changed the scenario. What was meant to be a neck ride became a face ride.

Rosha's unspoken words were instantly cut off.

Hmm?

This was not a romantic comedy daily life world at all.
