Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Gods Requested the Boy

In a small room in India, a sixteen-year-old boy sat quietly at his desk.

Saksham Singla stared at the notebook in front of him, but the pages were blank. His pen hovered in the air, unmoving, as if even it had lost the will to write.

Outside, the world continued as usual—traffic noises, distant voices, life moving forward without hesitation. But inside his mind, Saksham felt strangely detached from it all.

"Do you ever feel like this world isn't enough?" Saksham asked suddenly.

Across the room, another boy looked up from his phone.

Saksham Bhutani—his best friend since childhood—raised an eyebrow. "Again with your anime thoughts?"

Saksham smiled faintly. "Not just anime. Just… the feeling."

Bhutani sighed and put the phone down. "You've been watching too many reincarnation shows. Gods, systems, other worlds—"

"But what if," Saksham interrupted, his eyes sharp, "what if it's real?"

There was a brief silence.

Bhutani chuckled. "If gods exist, they've got better things to do than pick us."

Saksham didn't reply. He leaned back in his chair, eyes drifting to the ceiling.

If gods existed…

Would they choose him?

That night, Saksham dreamed.

No—this was not a dream.

He stood in an endless white space. There was no floor, no sky, no direction. Yet he stood firmly, as if reality itself supported him.

"Interesting," a voice echoed.

Another followed.

"And calm."

"A rare soul."

Light gathered before him. Shapes formed—vast, indistinct silhouettes radiating pressure so immense that a normal human would have collapsed instantly.

Saksham's heart pounded.

"Are you… gods?" he asked.

"We are," the voices replied in unison.

His first instinct was fear. His second was curiosity.

"Why am I here?"

One god stepped forward. "We did not summon you."

Saksham's eyes widened.

"We requested you."

The words struck deeper than any command.

"Your soul resonates with balance," another god said. "Light and darkness, logic and emotion."

A translucent blue screen appeared before Saksham's eyes.

"This is…" Saksham whispered.

"A system," the gods said. "One that will awaken if you accept."

"Accept what?" he asked.

"Reincarnation."

The white space shifted. Images appeared—another world. A kingdom. Magic. War. Gods. Entities beyond gods.

"You will be reborn into a royal family," a god explained. "With your memories intact."

"And the price?" Saksham asked calmly.

Silence followed.

Finally, one god spoke. "Your existence will change the balance."

Saksham laughed softly. "That's it?"

The gods paused.

"There is one condition you may ask," they said.

Saksham's expression hardened. "I won't go alone."

The gods waited.

"My friend," Saksham said. "He comes with me."

A moment passed.

Then—

"Accepted."

Another screen appeared.

Light exploded.

Pain followed.

And then—

Crying.

"Your Highness… the prince is awake!"

Saksham opened his eyes to a golden ceiling.

Silk sheets. Warm light. Strange energy in the air.

He raised his small hand—tiny, soft, not his own.

"I was… reincarnated," he whispered.

A new window appeared.

Far away, in another cradle, a baby opened his eyes and smiled knowingly.

Saksham Bhutani had arrived as well.

And the world had no idea what was about to begin.
