Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: Killing Monsters to Drop Treasure Chests

Looking at the harbor ahead shrouded in deep-sea mist, Dido knew the battle was about to begin! She said to those behind her, "Listen up, everyone! There are three Abyssal Habitats in the ruins of Azure Island. Each Abyssal Habitat is guarded by an Abyssal Princess. We need to defeat them to obtain treasure chest rewards."

"The upcoming battle might result in many casualties, but even so, we must not back down. Fortune favors the bold! Now I ask you, do you have confidence?" Dido said with high morale.

"Yes!" the Ship Girls shouted excitedly.

"Excellent. Then what are we waiting for? A bright tomorrow is right before us. Sisters, charge!" Dido waved her sword toward the deep-sea waters ahead and led the Ship Girls as they descended onto the sea surface, deployed their rigging, and charged toward the first Abyssal Habitat.

In the deep-sea waters, floating in the shallow areas of the first Abyssal Habitat, were a large number of Abyssal Warships. They were very excited to see Ship Girls after such a long time. They had been sealed in this hellhole for too long! Whenever they tried to land on the island, they were forcibly sent back to the sea by the order and rules of this ruin world. It was truly bizarre!

They hadn't tasted the flesh and blood of Ship Girls for too long! They had almost forgotten the flavor! Now, seeing over three hundred Ship Girls, they were overjoyed, and their mouths were watering!

"Ship Girls! Ship Girls! Ship Girls! Hehehe! Delicious Ship Girls, I'm going to eat you all!" About sixty Abyssal Warships, their eyes glowing red and revealing bloody fangs, charged toward the three hundred plus Ship Girls.

The Abyssal Carriers launched their carrier-based aircraft, and the Abyssal Battleships loaded their shells, revealing massive pitch-black cannons. The Destroyers were not to be outdone, baring their teeth and opening their maws to reveal dark gun muzzles. They all waited for the Ship Girls to enter their range before launching a fierce bombardment.

Seeing only about sixty Abyssal Warships daring to charge recklessly at them, the three hundred plus Ship Girls sighed at the stupidity of these Abyssal Warships.

Dido also commanded the three fleets to deploy their formations. The First Main Fleet was in front, the Second Support Fleet was on the left flank, and the Third Mobile Fleet was on the right flank, surrounding the Abyssal Warships to eliminate them in a concentrated effort.

Because the Abyssal side was outnumbered and only knew how to charge blindly, even though they fought ferociously and desperately, it was still a drop in the bucket. Additionally, if the strength on the Ship Girl side was slightly lacking, three or four ships would team up to attack one Abyssal Warship. The battle situation was favorable for the Ship Girls.

"Saratoga, Magic of Love, fire!" A cannon on Saratoga's waist fired a shell, directly sinking an Abyssal Cruiser.

After it sank, a blue treasure chest was seen floating at the spot where it went down. Saratoga was very happy and hurriedly opened it to see what was inside, only to find a bank card.

When Saratoga held it in her hand, information about this card surfaced in her mind.

ship device: Thousand-Daily Bank Card

Rank: Heavy-Phase Rank

Effect: The card will have a deposit of one thousand yuan every day. It can only be withdrawn once a day. If not withdrawn, the card will maintain a balance of one thousand yuan.

Note: If the bust size exceeds B, the deposit can be doubled.

Saratoga was very happy. She didn't expect to get a ship device right away, though it was a pity it wasn't a combat-type ship device, as those were the most valuable.

But a thousand yuan a day was way too little! Oh well, better than nothing! After Saratoga put the Thousand-Daily Bank Card into her rigging space, she ran off to fight other Abyssal Warships.

With a boom, Haman sank an Abyssal Battleship. Before long, a blue treasure chest appeared where it sank. Haman's ears twitched as she hurriedly opened the chest.

She found a Ship Skill Manual. As soon as she held the manual, information about it appeared in her mind.

Ship Skill Manual: Cat Giant Paw

Rank: King Rank

Effect: Once learned, the right hand can transform into a three-meter-long giant cat arm for one minute to perform violent attacks on enemies.

Note: Meowing like a cat during the attack adds 20% attack power.

"Hehehe! Haman really is the Goddess of Luck! To think I'd get a Ship Skill Manual, and an offensive one that suits me perfectly. It's so great it wasn't some healing skill manual!"

Haman learned it directly. The Ship Skill Manual immediately turned into a blue light and, with a whoosh, entered Haman's head. In her mind, someone who looked just like her was teaching her how to perform this move. Though it was only the blink of an eye, Haman felt as if a whole day had passed. Now, she was fully capable of using the Cat Giant Paw!

Believing she had mastered a divine technique, Haman charged toward an Abyssal Carrier, wanting to test her newly learned skill, Cat Giant Paw.

Haman was very excited as she lunged at the Abyssal Carrier. Seeing Haman charging over, the Abyssal Carrier was disdainful and commanded its planes to drop bombs on her.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh… Two Abyssal bombers screamed overhead and dropped a dozen bombs straight at Haman. If every one of them hit, Haman would sink—no chance of survival.

Looking up at the falling bombs, Haman didn't panic at all; she stayed perfectly calm and shouted, "Cat Giant Paw!"

A three-metre-long giant cat arm appeared on her right, meowing loudly. With a few swings Haman batted every bomb into premature blasts; not a single one exploded on her.

After swatting the bombs away, Haman was already close to the Abyssal carrier. A meow rang out as she slapped the carrier, smashing its hull apart in an explosion of black smoke.

When the smoke cleared, a purple chest floated before her. Haman beamed—maybe another skill manual or ship device! If so, perfect!

She opened it—and her ears drooped, her face fell; she'd pulled trash. Inside the purple chest was only a torpedo.

Javelin hefted a lightning-wreathed spear and hurled it at an Abyssal Destroyer. The crackling spear ripped through the air with sonic booms and shot straight at its target.

The terrifying lightning spear skewered the Abyssal; half its length jutted from the Destroyer's hull. The impact flung the ship several metres across the sea before it exploded and sank.

Where it sank, a blue chest bobbed up. Javelin grinned—what goodies might be inside? Without pause she flipped the lid open.
