In a small village, in a simple yet happy hut, little Yunxihua grew up cheerfully, surrounded by a small family that loved him dearly.
"Yun'er… come here, Mother has prepared breakfast," his mother called.
Little Yunxihua, who had been playing on the porch, answered her call and hurried to the dining table, eating eagerly.
The next day, Yunxihua's father returned from hunting in the forest, bringing sugar candy decorated with flower patterns.
"Yun'er, Father is home…" his father said.
"Mother, Father is home! Father brought a big piece of meat!" Yunxihua replied excitedly.
"Yun'er, guess what Father brought?" his father asked.
Little Yunxihua answered, "Father brought candy, right?"
"Hahaha, such a naughty child. You already know what your father brought," his mother said.
"Father brought you sugar candy!" his father replied.
"Where is it, Father? Where?" Yunxihua said as he tried to grab his father's hand, which was hiding the candy.
"Naughty child, be patient for a moment," his father said.
Time passed, and the sky began to darken. Little Yunxihua was told to fetch water for bathing from the hill not far from their home.
"Yun'er, come here, dear. Go fetch water from the well on the hill," his mother said.
"Yes, Mother," he replied while carrying a wooden bucket.
On the way to the hill, someone was suddenly watching Yunxihua from afar.
After Yunxihua finished drawing water and started walking down the hill toward his home, he was shocked to see flames and smoke covering his village.
"What is this? Father! Mother!" he shouted as he ran toward his house.
In the yard, he was stunned to see his father lying on the ground, already lifeless.
"Father, what happened? Father, wake up!" Yunxihua cried.
"Mother, Mother, where are you?" he shouted as he ran into the house.
After seeing the condition inside, Yunxihua screamed hysterically when he saw his mother hanging upside down, her head already separated.
"Motheeerr… Motheeerr… Who? Who did this?" he cried in anger and despair.
Not long after, Yunxihua ran outside and saw the surroundings of his village flooded with corpses and burned houses.
"What is this? Who did this? Who?" Yunxihua said in disbelief at what he saw.
As he ran toward the center of the village, he was shocked to see an unknown figure strangling the village chief.
The village chief saw Yunxihua and gestured for him to run away from this place before the killer noticed him.
With his last breath, the village chief stretched his hand toward Yunxihua, urging him to flee.
Little Yunxihua did not waste the opportunity. He ran toward the forest (the Silent Forest), gasping for breath.
The mysterious figure turned toward little Yunxihua and smiled cruelly, then disappeared and chased after him.
Little Yunxihua ran with all his strength, crying for help.
But his small body could not endure much longer. He stumbled and fell just as the mysterious figure appeared in front of him.
"Sweet child, your blood is so fresh," the mysterious figure said.
Little Yunxihua crawled backward, trying to move away. He picked up a branch and threatened the mysterious figure.
"Hahaha, foolish child. But it's fine—you will follow the others soon," the mysterious figure replied.
Just as Yunxihua was about to be killed by the mysterious figure using a sharp green sword, a sudden unknown attack struck the sword.
"Who are you?! Who dares interfere?! Come out!" the mysterious figure shouted.
Hearing this, an unknown figure appeared, dressed in purple and riding a white dragon.
"Y-you are… someone from the Ancient Dragon Clan!" the mysterious figure exclaimed.
The unknown figure said nothing and attacked the mysterious figure again.
Unwilling to die so easily, the mysterious figure fled, leaving Yunxihua and the unknown figure behind.
