Chapter 11 - The price of pride is your hand

The first guy, his face twisted, chuckled as he rushed forward. He aimed his punch at Rocky with clear intent.

But Rocky just shrugged and caught the fist with his gauntleted hand. Almost instantly, pure black armor materialized from the void and wrapped around his body.

He squeezed the enemy's fist, making him scream in pain, then grabbed the guy's head with his other hand. With a sharp motion, he slammed it into the sink of the restroom, cracking his skull.

The first guy was done.

"You bastard!" The two remaining guys lunged at Rocky, but their efforts were useless.

Each of Rocky's punches was enough to make them collapse on the spot.

A few seconds later, Rocky stood before Shawn.

Shawn snorted in mockery. As his body began to enlarge, white fur quickly spread across it.

Muscles bulged, tearing his outfit into pieces, and a maw formed beneath his skull.

A two-meter-tall wolf humanoid.

Drool overflowed from sharp fangs as he roared.

"You think your beast reaching level 12 is enough to stand before me? You're only at a first-year student's level."

Rocky nodded coldly as he summoned the system screen.

Rocky smirked. Indeed, a beast with a calamity-ranked species was always unique, even if his beast came from the black zone.

If he hadn't used [Aura of Apex Predator] on the enemy, the fight might've been a bit difficult.

But unlucky for Shawn, at this moment, he didn't deserve Rocky using all his power. With the resonance between beast and master, Shawn's actual strength had already weakened to some extent.

That bastard was the first one Rocky would show what so-called fear really meant.

"I'LL BITE YOUR HEAD OFF!" Shawn roared, widening his maw as he lunged at Rocky.

But Rocky merely lifted his gauntleted hand and blocked the bite.

Shawn's face filled with contempt at Rocky's stupid action. He hadn't expected Rocky not to dodge at all.

(The price of pride is your hand.)

Shawn poured more strength into his jaws, trying to bite down on Rocky's hand, but half a second later, his expression drained of all color.

Because what he sensed was clear—Rocky's hand was harder than he thought as if a chihuahua dog was biting a steel stick instead of a fragile bone. His fangs barely left a scratch on the gauntlet.

Rocky chuckled and poured all his strength into his left hand, brutally forcing Shawn's jaw upward. Under the sheer hardness of the gauntleted hand and crushing forces from both hands, Shawn's teeth shattered completely.

Shawn staggered back, clutching his bloodied maw.

He stammered in pain.

"I-Impossible."

How could it be? It was clear that Rocky's beast was only level 12. With resonance from that weak fur ape, Rocky was supposed to be the weakest trash.

But in contrast, Shawn barely managed to harm Rocky at all.

(He's just lucky.)

However, just a minute later, Rocky completely shattered Shawn's thoughts. He slammed the wolf humanoid into the restroom wall.

A series of punches dug deeply into Shawn's body.

Under the skillful combat techniques of the great Clan, Rocky could easily torment Shawn. Shawn had intended to call his beast for support, but he forgot one thing.

In such a narrow space, his massive beast was nothing but a burden.

Rocky tightly wrapped his arms around the wolf's neck, choking it to the point it passed out, before delivering a violent kick that sent both of them flying.

The sounds of breaking mirrors and shattered toilets rang throughout the space.

At that point, the fight had already ended in Rocky's victory.

Rocky merely shoved Shawn's head into the toilet bowl again and again until terror clearly showed on his face.

"You should be grateful we're still at the academy. Otherwise, I'd kill you." Rocky's eyes gleamed sharply as he slammed Shawn's head into the base of the toilet, shattering it.

Blood splattered everywhere, mixed with water gushing from the broken toilet.

Shawn lost consciousness.

Rocky spat in disgust before glancing at the two battered students. He slowly approached them, but instead of gratitude, they looked at him in horror.

To them, Rocky was nothing short of a brutal, vicious monster.

Cyril shouted in anger.

"It's all your fault. If you didn't exist, we wouldn't be getting bullied by them."

The next moment, Cyril struggled to stand up with the help of his little sister. They staggered toward the restroom door.

It seemed they were heading to the medical room to receive healing from the healer.

Rocky glanced at them and said,

"Just tell everyone I caused this trouble. At least you guys won't be bullied by them anymore."

Margot lingered for a moment. She felt deeply embarrassed. After all, he had saved them, yet they had treated him like a bully before.

"Thank you."

Rocky shrugged before leaving the restroom. He strolled around the academy park, then bought something at the academy cafeteria.

Then he took a nap in a secret place no one could find. After all, he was a target of bullies. Even though he was quite strong, he didn't want to fight every single day.

"Hope the afternoon course goes well."
