Looking at Nico Robin's stubborn expression, Jin felt utterly helpless.
Now he finally understood how the Straw Hat Pirates felt.
Everyone was risking their lives to save this woman, yet she herself had no desire to live.
Even with him standing right in front of her, she still chose death.
"At a time like this, you're still saying things like that?" Jin said. "I can take you away right now. As for the Seastone cuffs, we can figure out a solution later."
Even if his lock-picking skills didn't work on Seastone, there were countless Devil Fruit abilities in this world.
Surely, among them, there would be someone capable of opening the cuffs.
"Please… don't let my efforts go to waste…" Nico Robin lowered her head. "Please leave."
"Even if you won't think for yourself, at least think for Luffy and the others."
If the Straw Hat Pirates were to fully clash with CP9 here, she didn't even dare imagine what the consequences would be.
"You don't need to listen to this stubborn woman," Franky said. "Let's get out of here first. Once we're safe, we can talk sense into her little by little."
Her way of thinking could be corrected later.
Before that, their lives had to come first.
Jin didn't respond to Franky.
That guy was tough—being tied up a little longer wouldn't kill him.
But Nico Robin's problem ran far deeper.
If it wasn't resolved at the root, then even if he dragged her away today, she would be taken again tomorrow.
If her heart wasn't here, her body wouldn't stay either.
Some things had to be settled once and for all.
"Hey, are you even listening to me?!" Franky shouted.
"It's because of the Buster Call, right?" Jin said calmly.
Nico Robin looked up at him, pain flickering in her eyes.
"The Buster Call…"
"You have no idea how terrifying the Buster Call truly—"
"Alright. You don't need to keep going," Jin said, turning toward the tightly shut door at the side. "I understand now."
"You understand… that's good," Nico Robin let out a quiet breath of relief.
As long as he didn't act recklessly, the Straw Hats wouldn't be dragged into danger.
Then her sacrifice would at least have meaning.
"What do you mean you understand?!" Franky struggled violently. "Hurry up and untie me! Why are you listening to her nonsense?!"
"Franky."
"Huh?"
"If the Buster Call isn't dealt with," Jin said without turning back, "Robin will never escape the nightmare in her heart."
"It will wake her again and again—like a demon that refuses to let go."
"So what?"
"So—what we need to do isn't just save her."
Jin's voice hardened.
"We need to beat that damn demon to death, so Robin can finally sleep peacefully!"
With that, he stopped speaking and walked toward the door step by step.
Nico Robin suddenly raised her head, staring at his back.
"What are you doing?! Stop!"
She sensed something terribly wrong from his words.
Was he planning to fight CP9 head-on here?!
"Stop right now!"
"Have you even asked Luffy before doing this?!"
"You—"
Jin said nothing.
Instead, he took out a Den Den Mushi and dialed it in front of her.
A moment later, the call connected, and the Den Den Mushi transformed into Luffy's face.
It was the one Jin had slipped to him earlier—without Luffy ever realizing it.
"Hey, Luffy."
"Jin?!"
"Gomu Gomu no Pistol!"
Boom!
On the rooftop, Luffy sent a Marine flying with a punch, dodged a spear, then shouted back,
"Where are you?! Did you find Robin?!"
"I found her."
"Just like you, Jin—awesome!" Luffy shouted excitedly. "Where are you? I'll come right now!"
Jin finding Robin this fast was completely beyond his expectations.
Once again, he felt just how incredible a ninja was.
"We're inside the tallest building. If you're on the roof of the courthouse, you should be able to see it."
"Got it!" Luffy nodded. "Is Robin okay?"
"You guys…" Nico Robin parted her lips, not knowing what to say anymore.
"I told you already," Franky laughed loudly. "They weren't afraid of the Aqua Laguna—how could they fear Enies Lobby?"
"These idiots are completely fearless!"
Franky finally understood Jin's intention.
And as a man through and through—he supported it completely.
"Haha! Robin, we'll be there soon!" Luffy laughed. "Wait for us!"
"Why… why are you all coming…" Nico Robin whispered.
"Isn't it obvious?" Jin said. "Because we're comrades."
After that, he stopped paying attention to her and spoke into the Den Den Mushi again.
"Luffy, there's something I need to say."
"Yeah, go ahead."
"Tch, you guys are really annoying."
Luffy glared at the Marines chasing him, bit the Den Den Mushi, and slingshotted himself away.
After landing on another rooftop, he finally had a moment to talk undisturbed.
"I can forcefully take Robin away right now," Jin said. "But if one problem isn't solved, today's situation will happen again someday."
Luffy fell silent for a moment.
"…Yeah. You're right."
If someone could threaten Robin with them today, then tomorrow someone else could force her to die the same way.
"So," Jin grinned, "Luffy—declare war on them."
"I'm standing right at their headquarters."
"The Buster Call problem—I'll handle it."
The moment he saw Nico Robin in person, Jin understood.
If this wasn't destroyed, she would never escape that nightmare.
So he would shatter it with his own hands.
"Hey! Can you idiots listen to me for once?!" Nico Robin cried out.
What was she even hearing?
This newly joined crewmate was planning to face the Buster Call head-on?!
Where did he get that confidence?!
"Do we even need to think about it?" Luffy clenched his fist. "Go all out, Jin!"
"CP9 or Buster Call—I'll punch them all flying!"
"You guys—"
"ROBIN!!" Luffy shouted, cutting her off. "WAIT FOR US!"
Crack!
As his voice fell, the Den Den Mushi's receiver was crushed in his grip.
"…You heard that, Nico Robin."
Jin crushed his own receiver as well.
"Your will can't change ours."
"Hey—what's wrong with all of you?!" Franky nearly lost it. "I still wanted to check on my subordinates!"
With a helpless sigh, he looked at Nico Robin, who stood frozen in shock.
"See? That's their resolve."
"They fought their way out of Water 7, broke through the Aqua Laguna that destroys everything, and arrived at this Enies Lobby that's stood for eight hundred years."
"And all of that—was just to save you."
Franky's words echoed in Nico Robin's mind.
Her eyes were locked onto the man walking firmly toward the massive doors.
That man—
Showed not the slightest fear toward the World Government.
BOOM!!
Jin smashed his fist into the gate, blasting it clean off its hinges.
The enormous door flew straight inside and crashed down onto Spandam's head, scaring him so badly he fell flat onto the floor.
Every member of CP9 turned their gaze toward the entrance, eyes sharpening instantly.
Jin walked in with one hand in his pocket.
He swept his gaze across CP9, then bared his teeth in a grin.
"Hello there, you bastards!"
