Lyra's POV
One training dummy down.
I spun around to see that Ash had already launched his opponent clear across the training room. Killian was still wrestling with his dummy on the floor, muscles straining as he tried to gain the upper hand. Ash wore that cocky smirk I knew so well as he strolled over, effortlessly plucked Killian's attacker off him like it weighed nothing, and hurled it on top of his own defeated opponent. Killian rolled to his side, fury radiating from every line of his body.
"I had that handled!" Killian snarled.
"That's not how I saw it," Ash drawled, his tone dripping with amusement. Another dummy charged toward them with the graceless determination of an oversized child having a tantrum.
At the last possible second, Ash shot his arm out and delivered a devastating punch that sent the attacker flying away from Killian, who whirled around to bare his teeth at Ash in response.
"Stay out of my way, Ironwood!" Killian snapped, his voice low and dangerous.
