Lyra's POV
"What the hell do you want?" I demanded, pushing myself up from the floor.
Even standing at my full height, Ash towered over me by at least six inches. I tilted my head back, trying to meet his blazing golden eyes with defiance, but the intimidating effect was lost when I had to crane my neck.
"I want to get through one night without your screaming waking up half the damn building," he growled, his voice low and dangerous. "Do you have any idea what time it is?"
"Enlighten me," I shot back, crossing my arms.
Ash stormed further into my room, the door slamming behind him with enough force to make Poppy flinch on her bed. He grabbed the ridiculous fuzzy pink clock from her nightstand and thrust it toward my face, the cord whipping across the floor as it pulled free from the wall.
"It's almost midnight," he snarled, shoving the clock against my chest. I caught it clumsily, glowering at him over the stupid thing. "Some of us actually need sleep."
