Your heart, or what you assumed was your heart, started beating again. The defeat you suffered.. your death.. Is that how you wanted this to end?
Your neck began the healing process, the ants had buried you, the large cut took some time but it'll heal soon. Buried with you was your cloak and sword.
In the house the ants had taken over, but since it was night they were not as active, however the Queen didn't know why but something was different. Something or someone was coming.
On her throne she sat patiently waiting for the first report to come in but when an uneasy feeling settled over her it was only then did she called on her recent addition to her Royal Guard.
"Ant-drew. Inform those two to be ready, I have a feeling the human will make his return."
Ant-drew body went rigid upon hearing this.
"My Queen, I was certain that I killed him. I even watched his blood drain from his body with my own eyes. He is- was dead. And if you'll allow me to, I'll bring you his head this time, i swear on my life-"
The Queen raised her hand, silencing him.
"There is no need, if your report on his abilities, or his lack of them are true then they won't have an issue killing him. All you need to do is tell them to bring his head when they kill him. Now go."
Ant-drew nodded, bowed and left the throne room as fast as he could.
The silence that permeated the room lasted for a few minutes before one of the original four Royal Guards voiced the thoughts of the other three.
"What if the human wins?"
The question hung in the silence for several minutes while the occupants let their thoughts linger on the possibility. It was the Queen who responded to the question,
"He will, but as we've learned from the last battle Ant-drew had with him, he is not invincible. And when the time comes the colony will grew stronger because of it."
Her wicked smile confused them at first until it clicked after a moment of thinking at what she was hinting at, and soon they too could see the vision..
You remembered what happened, how it happened and by who. And you shouldn't- No, you wouldn't let it end. Not like this.
[Respawn?]

The only right thing to do was..
"Yes. I want to Respawn!"
[Welcome back, host.]
[A System Update has been downloaded. Does the host wish to go through a tutorial on the functions?]
"Yes." You answer immediately and the familiar system interface shows what's new.

"System, please explain what each of these abilities do." You ask, Curious about the last one.
[Two Health bars: Host will be able to take two fatal injuries and survive. As long as the attacks aren't stronger than your durability, and in that instance they will be traded for two respawns. However, if the host loses their life for the last time, reincarnation will no longer be available.]
Sounds decent but dangerous if you aren't careful.
[Unlimited Stamina: Host will be able to fight without rest, out lasting all who stand against you. Reincarnation will not be possible if host dies before completing the current gameplay.]
That is tempting, that ability would have been useful if he had it before when fighting against Ant-drew..
[Time Skip: Host will be able to skip through time, much like the character from Dragon Ball Super: The Assassin, Hit. With no Cooldown you will have little trouble with dealing with your enemies.]
Now this was what you needed. Not only would it be a powerful ability but no Cooldown? Holy shit! No doubt you'd pick this one.
[???: An unknown ability but it is, without a doubt more valuable than the previous three abilities combined if used correctly. How the host handles this ability will determine if the other abilities are given or not.]
What? It's basically telling me to pick this one for the chance of having the other ones. "Fuck me.." You say to yourself, covering your face with your hands and sliding them down slowly before stopping. "...Gaining the other abilities does sounds pretty good..." You peak out from between your fingers at the system panel.
"..."
"...Give me the Unknown ability..."
[Comfirm Ability: ???, Is this your final answer?]
"Yes. That is my final answer." Hopefully this gamble is a good one.

Under the darkness of night a small mound of dirt was at the base of the tree, said tree had healed after the battle was over, along with the small crater. It was almost as if nothing happened.
"I got dirt in my mouth!" From the mound a hand followed by another and finally your head breached the surface, spitting out the dirt in your mouth. "Looks like I'm back.." You pulled yourself from the grave and equipped your cloak again.
"Now, where the hell is my ability?"
Your PC, which had sat powered off for who knows how long, powered on without your input. And the mouse moved on its own.. it went through the games, TV series, and all the different downloaded fanfics until it stopped at the movies.
You had hundreds of different movies, all of them your favorites but there was only one that you haven't watched in a long time, a classic and definitely your favorite one. It wasn't the best flim but you didn't care. You liked it and that's what mattered.
[Unknown Ability active.]
You thought you saw something out of the corner of your eye so when you turned and saw nothing you simply shrugged and went back to pulling your right leg out of the ground.
It happens several more times after that, you knew any encounters happened in the morning so what could this be? You didn't know but you were about to find out since whatever it was is coming closer.
It moved through the grass like a ghost, it barely made the blades of grass move but it was enough, it was all black and was that a crown? Regardless you watched it until it hissed loudly and jumped at you and had you not seen it you would have had a heart attack.
It was menacing, a force to be reckoned with, it was..
"A xenomorph?! Oh, that's actually pretty cool." You said excitedly as you grabbed it by it's tail and twisted your body with its momentum so you wouldn't rip it's tail off. "Wait, is this my ability? Am I supposed to tame it or something?" You let the Xenomorph go and had to jump back as it tried to stab you with it's tail. "Hey!" Surprisingly it stopped, but only briefly. Interesting.
"HEY!" You said louder now, the xenomorph stopping and actually looking up at you, only to immediately going back to trying to kill you. And you dodge of course but this time you grab its tail and force it down without hurting it, it wasn't even fully a Queen yet and this xenomorph was almost as strong as you are now.
"Enough!" You shout as loud as you could, your thoughts unknowingly transmitting your will onto the Xenomorph. The xenomorph hissed defiantly for the last time before it stills and after a moment of silence you let it stand up.
[Successfully Bonded with The Queen Xenomorph. First half of ability granted, prepare for the second and final half.]
"If my guess is correct.." You notice the familiar three dots appear on the head of your xenomorph and instantly you scoop her up and jump away from the tree just as another crater, smaller this time, is made by a bright blue beam.
In the tree above where you were standing moments before, stood the familiar figure of a Yautja, his size thankfully wasn't as large as it should be or you'd be dead. It was smaller than the Xenomorph but significantly more dangerous.
"Ooman, you would save the Kainde Amedha.. Why?"
You hadn't expected him to know English but after everything that has happened you were willing to accept anything at this point. "She is necessary to have as my ally.. I face an enemy who returns stronger each day. It will be a good hunt for you and your kin if you wish to aid us. If you do help me, I can promise there will be more hunts worthy of a warrior such as yourself." You offer in hopes of pandering to his warrior culture.
The Yautja was silent, possibly considering your words you hoped. He growled lowly and made an input on his wrist communicator. Looking up you saw a small ship uncloak and lowered down far enough for the hunter to enter, he did so with a powerful leap, and once he disappeared from your sight the ship camouflaged itself and ascended into the night sky.
"Well.. that went better than I could have imagined." You check the system panel again.
[Second half of your ability pending..]
"Yeah that checks out." You were just glad you didn't have to fight him. "Come on, we have some bugs to kill." Your xenomorph companion lunges onto your back and up to your shoulder. "Hell yeah, we need to get you your own cloak too, girl." She hisses and shakes her head, you laugh at that. "I'm joking, what a tough crowd." The two of you return to your home and immediately start killing every ant in sight, capturing a few in glasses or cups for later. "Kill them all." You order her and she jumps from your shoulder and begins her killing spree. Cutting the time it would have taken in half.
"This was the best investment I ever made." You captured the last large ant and watched as your xenomorph went off to make her hive, presumably anyway. "Soon I'll have my own army. Our next encounter will be legendary." You cackled whilst collecting the ants.
