"Keeping them for decoration is fine too, why not." Ewan took a bite of his rice ball, jerking his chin toward Mossy, who was lying flat beneath a wild tree, its jiggly body visibly deflated compared to this morning. "But using them just for decoration is a waste. These guys are a godsend. If you know how to use them, they are worth a dozen laborers."
Simon hastily swallowed his mouthful of rice, his eyes never leaving the hillside:
"But... I heard slimes are actually really useless. They do not have any abilities, like that time at The Moon's Fork, people did not even bother shooing them away. Why does your batch... act like they actually have brains, even if they are a bit naive?"
"The reason people are not wary of them is because in a normal environment, slimes cannot fight, they cannot spit out elemental fusions, basically they are useless. But these little ones are my summoned beasts, they will be different from natural slimes."
