The three of them busied themselves catching Green Crabs for quite a while, right up until Wyatt announced that the rabbit meat was cooked, yet they had only managed to catch about six or seven. On the contrary, the Brown Crabs were countless. Even when thrown into the middle of the stream, the creatures eventually drifted and washed right back up on the shore.
The three of them carried their baskets, splashing their way back up to the campfire where the rabbits was roasting. Wyatt was using a small dagger to carve the meat. The rabbit legs, the fleshiest, most tender, and juiciest parts, were skillfully cut and placed on a clean leaf, set aside as a special portion. The other bonier pieces were separated into a different pile. Seeing the trio return, Wyatt waved his hand at the two Omegas: "Come here. You have been out all morning, you must be starving. Eat up first, then we can get back to work."
As Wyatt spoke, he pushed the leaf full of tender leg meat toward the two of them.
