Chapter 1: Awakening and Oak's Laboratory
The young man slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was a wooden ceiling and a poster of a Poké Ball on the wall. This wasn't his 2022 bedroom.
"Son, wake up! Your brother Ash already ran off to the lab because he overslept!" shouted a voice from downstairs. It was Delia Ketchum.
The boy sat up abruptly in bed. Looking at himself in a nearby mirror, he noticed he looked a lot like Ash, but his features were a bit more mature, or maybe his gaze was different. Next to him, on the nightstand, rested a dark-colored egg with green spots: the gift from God.
"So... I'm really Ash's brother," he murmured, feeling the weight of destiny. He carefully took the egg and went downstairs.
Delia saw him off with a hug, handing him a small backpack.
The Encounter at the Laboratory
When he arrived at the lab, he saw a crowd of people. Ash had already left (probably with a rather grumpy Pikachu). The boy, Ash, was already gone.
The boy entered and saw Professor Oak, sighing as he put away some empty Poké Balls.
"Professor?" the young man asked.
"Ah, you must be Ash's brother!" said Oak, recovering his smile. "Glad you're here, though I'm afraid your brother and the other three trainers already took the Kanto starters."
The boy didn't flinch. He gripped the egg tightly.
"I'm not looking for a Kanto starter, Professor. I'm here to register as a trainer. I already have my companion here."
Oak put on his glasses and approached the egg. His eyes widened.
"Incredible! An Axew egg. It's a species from the Unova region. How do you have one?"
At that moment, a semi-transparent blue screen appeared before the young man's eyes:
[SYSTEM STARTED]
Target detected: Professor Samuel Oak.
Danger level: Low (Human).
Note: The professor is impressed. It's time to secure your license.
Suddenly, the egg began to glow intensely. The heat it emitted was almost unbearable for a normal person, but the boy felt a connection. His hands began to emit a soft green glow.
"Easy, little one... I'm here," the boy whispered.
Oak stepped back in amazement.
"That glow! It's the Green Forest Power! They say only a few chosen ones each century can communicate and heal Pokémon like that..."
With a crack, the egg broke. A small, fanged dinosaur appeared, shaking its head. The System updated instantly:

Pokémon: Axew. Level: 5. Nature: Brave (+Attack, -Special Attack).
Special Ability: Mold Breaker.
Moves: Scratch, Leer, Rage (Egg Move).
Status: Perfect bond established.
The little Axew looked at the boy, jumped onto his shoulder, and gave him a small bite on the ear as a sign of affection.
"Well," said Oak, composing himself and handing him a Pokédex and 5 Poké Balls. "Seems you're not a common trainer. Your brother Ash has enthusiasm, but you... you have something more. Be careful, the outside world has gotten wilder lately."
