Skyblock. Day 1. Morning?
*YAWN*
I yawned as I awakened, and once I opened my eyes I couldn't help but feel the grass under me.
"Shit… It was real?" I hiss in disbelief as I sit up and look down, being greeted not only by my naked body but also by tits that weren't there last night.
I stood up and looked around, finding myself on a place reminiscent of the old Minecraft challenge known as the Skyblock…
"That…Yeah that tracks… what kind of deal did I make last night?" I asked myself. "Doesn't matter I guess… I'm here now. At least no one is watching me…" I said and looked towards the survival kit that was provided by the Company, not aware that the opposite was true instead.
To understand what is going on I suppose I have to go back a few hours, at least I think it's been a few hours. You see, last night I got drunk, like on a level that borders insanity after winning the lottery, or something like that. And as per usual I had what I thought was a lucid dream at the time.
Flashback
"Welcome to The Company, please sit down and let us begin." A voice said, and when I looked at it I saw what looked…Familiar…
I have no idea how I got here but I still sat on the chair she pointed out and looked around the room before asking. "Where am I?"
"The Company."
"Right… sorry, I'm a bit confused. You mean The Company from that Waifu Catalog thing I saw online ages ago?"
"Indeed."
"So… uhm… I'm gonna go on a limb here and say that I'm being offered a chance to be a Contractor? Also, I'm sorry but do I know you?"
"You are. I'll answer your question on knowing me with a 'maybe', I'm Sunny Emmerich, from Metal Gear? Well, I'm a clone of her really but…" she shrugged. "Anyways, because of certain circumstances involved in your arrival here, The Company is willing to sponsor you with a minimum of 20
additional credits no matter what build you choose or anything, your contract will be the standard contract and will be adapted depending on said build, and whatever we discuss after it is done."
She handed me a 5-page contract and a tablet for my build. Which I instantly read before starting the build.
I have no idea how many builds I made while I was in that office but with each one the contract changed. In the end I went for a modified contract and the Skyblock challenge.

"Where did the 20 extra credits come from? I mean I'll use them but still, why the credits? I don't believe that is a normal thing." I said not yet passing her the tablet with my build for the Skyblock.
"Bit of a clerical error that caused you to arrive early here." She shrugged while checking the build. "We wanted to recruit you already but someone in the HR department filed your profile with us to be picked up next. As an 'apology' you get a minimum of 20 extra credits depending on your starting world."
"I can get more?."
"Yes, you could but depending on how many credits you want and what you'll do with them, you may also need to get a different contract…"
"Huh… ok…" I said and changed my origin to something that put me at [-80] credits but I was not worried yet. Then I double checked and passed her the build tablet.
"You want the Skyblock challenge then? I'm gonna be honest, not many people go for the Skyblock…" She paused as she checked my origin and looked at me. "To get the additional credits you would need a variant contract. Would you like to see them?"
"Yeah… I figured. Can I see the variants?"
She passed me a different tablet that had several modifications: Week-Long Portal, Random Portals, Slaver, Breeding Master, Mr. Steal Your Girl, Mr. Nice Guy, No sex allowed, etc.
The first variant is not bad but the point of the Skyblock is having only 24 hours to go in and out. Most of the rest of the list are very benign, others just make you an evil bastard in which your goal is to escape the challenge by making it into a Demiplane brothel full of sex slaves that you then take with you to either enslave more waifus or pimp them out.
The 2 modifications I was interested in however, was Mission Master, and Completionist. At first glance they are not really impressive, but the synergy they have is somewhat amazing.
While the standard challenge makes the portal close after 24 hours, Mission Master functions like if you had the perk Exit Stage Left, it counts the objectives from a mission you take and if you get stranded due to the mission taking more than 24 hours you can use a 1-time portal to return to the Skyblock; the downside is that the normal portal is still active so if you take a month completing a mission then that's 3 portals plus the one you arrived in that you missed.
Completionist on the other hand normally works by counting the number of eligible targets you can capture but upon asking about it and the other modification, Ms. Emmerich said that a modification called Mission Completionist was possible.
This new-ish modification makes a portal opening possible once you complete every single main objective or, it gives you the chance to sacrifice half of the bonus rewards to go back in time to the moment before the original portal closed.
"I'll take Mission Completionist for my contract."
"I'll make a note of it." She said while writing something on a tablet. "Anything else?"
"I'm getting all the powers from my origin's substitution target, right?."
"Yes, although, because Mission Completionist benefits you more than anything, we still need to make a slight change to your contract." She said, and proceeded to make a few changes an explain them to me.
"I'll take it." I said, not knowing I was dooming my fate.
In exchange for this however, The Company would:
1.- Provide a Mission Completionist Contract Variant, that way as long as I took a mission, I could make a portal opening possible once I complete every single main objective and/or it would give me the chance to sacrifice half of the bonus rewards to go back in time to the moment before the original portal closed.
2.- Send me compulsory missions to worlds different from the ones I could access through the weekly portal. The Skyblock's portal would open to that world as soon as I took the mission and would stay open for as long as the mission took me. Fortunately the weekly portal would be 'Paused' until I returned with my retinue from a world with a completed compulsory mission.
3.- Put in 'compulsory requests' for specific waifus and/or familiars from specific settings that other clients would want, either selling the capture or getting the info for a clone is to be specified in the mission requirements.
4.- Turn my life basically into Truman's Show and sell it in whatever form they can. I would also essentially forget this fact even if and when I ever discovered the truth again.
Additionally, I would take the mission 'Build a small world' and agree to not buy my way out of the Skyblock challenge without finishing it first.
And lastly, the clause that I didn't actually pay attention to, and the one that would eventually make me curse the Company in the future.
As I was essentially gender bending myself with my origin, and I would get stupidly OP powers, I would one day get either a guy in my retinue and into my harem, or I'd get a futanari (a natural futanari… not a shape shifter) into my retinue and my harem.
The purpose? To get myself pregnant.
Of course, I didn't exactly get the last one without some perks for myself…
"Anything else you'd like to add before we send you on your way?"
"To the build no, could we discuss some other things I would like if they were available in the Skyblock?"
"Such as?"
"Well, to be honest, breaking the law is a given for contractors, in some worlds I am going to be stealing stuff, I'd like a way to cash in any amount of currency or valuable items I come across that doesn't involve the 'Green Eye Orb'."
"Hmm." She smiled. "Done. Not many people realize that is a thing when they plan on stealing cash or valuable items and end up with a pile of things that they have to keep until they can get the orb."
"Perfect."
"Once you wake up you will see a Company-made miniature ATM where you can make all kind of deposits or withdrawals, in whatever currency you have or the one from the world you're visiting when the portal opens up. I'm afraid that for
anything other than cash and valuable items such as metals or gems you will have to buy the orb."
"That's not a problem, I was mainly worried about the cash."
"Planning on committing some thefts huh? I get it…" She paused while making a note. "I'll be sure to send you some missions to some appropriate worlds then. Anything else?"
"About my clone of Hermione actually… would her beaded bag from before her original 7th year be included?"
She laughed. "I can put it in a note that she does have it with all her supplies and the wizarding tent before she is delivered to the Skyblock in fact, her beard bag and her wand shall be in the survival kit's box."
I smiled. 'Perfect. No cramped tent for me, time for glamping in the Skyblock.'
"Then I think that would be all." I paused. "Do you know where I could get a sonic screwdriver, a sonic blaster and a lightsaber outside of their settings?"
"In any of the markets available with the orb I'm sure, there's a place for everything available."
"Would the protections of the 'Contractor Smart Device'be available for them?"
"They can be, it would cost you 10 credits per device protected in the case of the ones you mentioned and those of similar sizes, other items can be protected for varying prices. The place where that is done is at the entrance where you arrive with the orb."
"Very well, thanks."
Once our discussions were finished, I made sure I read my contract again before signing it, never noticing that I didn't remember one of the clauses in it.
Apart from the variations of the contract, the most limiting condition in broad terms is that I could not speak of the Catalog or The Company to anyone not on my retinue or the company's payroll and if I did I have to make sure I either recruit/capture them or erase the knowledge off their minds within 24 hours or I'd get fined 5 credits at first, and 10 credits for every 24 extra hours without removing the knowledge (the company stamp being applied would 'pause' this timer, obviously).
Flashback end
So here I am now, standing naked on a 25x25x25 meter cube made from sandstone and nutrient filled dirt that has a small approximately 2 meter wide pond of clean drinkable water (that is seemingly infinite according to both the Skyblock basic logic and the contract I signed) and a tree that had 5 fruits on its branches (on one hand, each one can supposedly feed someone for a day, on the other, they rot after 24 hours of being harvested). They kinda look like the Mint Mangoes from Slime Rancher.
The survival kit provided by the company at one side of the pond and the mini-ATM is on a floating platform just off center from the center of the block where the portal opens. I guess that's for easy transportation.
I just woke up under the tree and looking to my right is the one companion I will have for the next 6 days approximately. Hermione Granger, the so-called smartest witch of her age, sleeping on the spot besides mine, also completely naked, and now that I can see her in the flesh, a very close lookalike for Emma Watson though I guess Hermione has slightly better tits than the actual Emma Watson. Huh… she has a full bush… normally I like my partners to be shaven or hairless like my new body is but, strangely, I don't mind Hermione having a
full bush of pubic hair.
Searching through the wooden chest that has the survival kit, I quickly find the smart device I asked for, a smartphone looking device with an outer shell made from some unknown metal and polymer with a full color holoprojector screen, that way I could either see stuff on the touchscreen itself or display it as a hologram.
Checking my Portal tab and my Mission Log really quickly I can see a timer for when I assume they are to be assigned with '06:23:45:36' and considering that I just woke up and where the sun is, that makes absolute sense.
Oh… I just realized, I've always wanted to try breaking the fourth wall if there was ever a chance and I haven't introduced myself yet…
Hello, I am… or rather, I was Alexander St. John-Porter, though everyone called me either Alex or Porter (and yes, the second nickname comes from the game Death Stranding as I was the first among my friends to play it). I was 23 years old before my recruitment and I'm an avid gamer, freelance beta reader and a bit of a fan of both TV and anime, which means that most of my free time was spent on videogames or streaming something online either through Netflix or some sketchy website with a ton of pop ups.
Now? Well…
Now I'm Samantha Eve Wilkins, 18 years old and also the superhero known as Atom Eve.
Overpowered for the Skyblock? Yes. Do I care what you, the imaginary person/s behind a stupid fourth wall, think? No.
As to the reason I picked the Skyblock challenge? Well, Minecraft was always a game that had a lot of potential for me, I usually play a lot of RPGs but, I almost always came back to Minecraft when I had nothing else to play and I wanted to kill time.
That being said one of my favorite things to play in Minecraft was and still is the Skyblock, especially in the newest versions of the game, where the new mobs that can spawn in it are either a surprise or a challenge.
I mean, starting to expand your little island and out of nowhere a phantom comes in and tries to knock you off the edge? Having to watch your back after the third night because of that? One of the most terrifying ways to die in the Skyblock if you are not careful.
Then comes in my recruitment into The Company and I can actually live it? Yes please. I even finagled the mob spawning and some of the Minecraft physics into the contract so I actually have shit to do here, no normal crafting though, I'm not a Minecraft character, and I kinda want to capture or buy Alex, nothing against Steve but he's way too much of a default for my tastes.
The only problem was who to pick as my starting companion.
Being able to help on the Skyblock was the main requirement, but Alex was just out of the rules for the challenge being a tier 6 companion. Also, being able to fight was another thing, I figured being a healer or a doctor would be important at some point due to how my own healing works now, then limiting myself to tier 5…
In the end I spent a lot of time searching through the available options that the catalog had available until I remembered that when I was a kid I had a bit of a crush on Hermione Granger, smartest witch of her age, Gryffindor overachiever, the brains of the golden trio and… Oh shit! She's waking up now and I'm still naked and wasting time on my phone.
TL;DR: I picked her not for the potential she had as a companion or that she filled everything I just said but because I had a crush on her when I was younger, she was a [T5] character, and she has magic that is mostly based on intent. Then after I finished the build and negotiations, I remembered the time of her '7th year' and how the golden trio went on the run with the magical tent and well… I had to ask if both the tent and her beaded bag were available.
"Good morning. Uhm, are you alright? You're naked…" she said, looking at me with a blush on her face before looking away.
"Oh, yeah. You're naked too you know, clothes are in this thing…" I replied, slapping the chest. "Good morning by the way, I was just checking my Company-issued phone." Gods… she's being so cute right now. "Did you sleep well?"
"I think so, it was better than forcefully waking up in one of the cloning pods back at the company and then being sedated again." She said, frowning as she looks down and tries to cover her breasts.
"I guess that's good? Anyway… do you know anything about what's happening?" I asked, unsure of what The Company had informed her about.
"The basics I'm afraid, I know that you're a Contractor doing the Skyblock challenge and what that means, that you are using a substitution for your origin, and that I belong to you but nothing beyond that." She paused while getting to her feet. "Oh! Right I also know you asked for my bag to be given to me before I was delivered so, thank you for that."
"It's no problem Hermione, honestly I barely remembered it was a thing." I said, looking at her, wanting to just ravish her without a care in the multiverse.
"Still, thank you." She turned around and looked at the tree with pure confusion in her face. "Are those green mangoes?"
"I think they are Mint Mangoes from a game called Slime Rancher." I shrugged. "We'll have to try them later."
"Why are we naked?"
"Don't know… we could get dressed, I mean, our clothes are in the chest but I don't really mind the nudity." I replied, still looking at her body and how she's still looking away. "You can look you know?"
She slightly nodded and tried looking at me, but she blushed even more before she got up and walked the short distance to the chest.
After opening the chest she looked inside, and I had to pause for a bit because when she bent over the edge to pick up her beaded bag because she just gave me a perfect view of her ass.
"Would you like me to set the tent by the pond and the tree?" she asked looking into her bag before putting her whole arm into it and getting both her wand and the tent out of it.
"Yes, though I'll join you in a bit, I'm going to practice a bit…" I said, looking at my hands.
"Practice?"
"Yeah, I may have all of the original Eve's powers and all of her memories but, I still haven't used them at all."
"What are her- your powers?" she asked, correcting herself and pulling simple underwear from her bag.
"Subatomic matter manipulation and energy manipulation."
"That meant nothing for me…" She deadpanned at me while grabbing a pair of jeans from her bag after getting her underwear on.
"Right… Sorry. Uh… technically permanent transfiguration but not really and it's even more complicated, and the energy manipulation is more like the powers given by a lantern ring from DC comics." I tried.
I looked again at the chest and reached out with energy manipulation, picking up everything and making it have a slightly pink aura around it before making it spin around before setting the emergency food and 2-person tent back.
The tools I kept outside to inspect, and I did this by bringing everything closer to me, touching one item at a time to see how they're actually made on a subatomic level and then setting them back down in the chest.
The axe was a camping axe with no apparent brand name with a steel head and wooden handle, nothing out of the ordinary, the shovel was a Spetsnaz Shovel with a sheath, cool I guess, the pickaxe was also made from steel with no apparent brand name, the knife was a simple survival/bushcraft knife made from steel and has a full tang, a wooden handle and a locking sheath, the typical Minecraft-style flint and steel got replaced by a large-ish ferrocerium rod (about 15 cm) with a 10 cm-ish steel striker painted black, the canteens are both 1 litter canteens made from aluminum, and the caps are attached to them with a thin chain, finally the tent is a bright orange tent with all its pieces.
Honestly I don't know what I was expecting. The tools are ok I guess, not the best quality but definitely worth the 5 credits if I were to buy another kit. I kept the sleeping bags outside just in case, I remember from the books and movies that the wizarding tent is not the best at keeping the cold out.
And I definitely get the intuitive part about my new powers, the original eve was born knowing how to use them and quickly mastered their use before she was 15, and now I have that same level of mastery. I haven't even bought the science or
psychic talents and manipulating full objects in the background while sharpening the knife to a monomolecular edge that wont chip away easily has been easy, I'm not even sure if I still have the biokinetic mental limiter on my powers
anymore.
I have to try my hand at flying… and I should probably get us a couple of those mangoes.
That thought finished, I ignited the typical pink energy jets and floated myself Iron-man style to the tree and got 2 of the mangoes and a few leaves I plucked with what I'm now gonna call telekinesis in my head because its easier, by the time I flew down Hermione had the tent up already and was outside watching me.
"Having fun then?" she asked, having forgone outer clothes and stayed with just her underwear.
"Absolutely, Would you like to join me?" I asked while coming closer to her and giving her a mango.
"Later, The Company may have removed my fear of heights, but I haven't even learned to ride a broomstick properly." She said before biting her mango. "Oh Merlin! What the hell?"
"What?"
"Bite your mango and you'll see." She gave me a pointed look.
"Alright." I did so and wouldn't you know it, it is a Mint Mango from Slime Rancher at least that's what I always imagined they'd taste like. "This is delicious…" I finished while giving it another bite.
"Yes, but I was still raised by dentists, something this sweet can't be good for your teeth."
"Oh just enjoy it miss 'I-like-sugar-quills-so-much-I-buy-the-entire-stock-every-time', otherwise I may have to kiss you to shut you up."
She looked at me curiously but said nothing about my comment.
"Anyways, we have basic tools and a small tent but nothing else in the chest." I said after we ate the mangoes and reduced them to the seeds.
"We won't be needing the tent for a while, but do bring the sleeping bags in, I'll give you the tour. Uhm, question… What do we do with the seeds?"
"We can either plant them or throw them down the edge, throwing stuff to the void is how you'd normally get rid of stuff on the original Skyblock."
"…"
"Give it here." I extended my hand for her to give it to me. "Now, to quote that 2014 trend…" I turned and walked a bit towards the edge before making the seeds spin with telekinesis. "YEET!" I shouted and basically turned the seeds into bullets, never to be seen again,

"Ha! That was fun, we have to get other stuff to throw off the edge eventually."
"Sure." She deadpanned. "Lets just get on with the tour."
"Is it really a tour if it has only 3 or 4 rooms separated by canvas curtains?" I said when we entered the tent.
"Shut up… I'm giving you a tour…" she grumbled and I followed behind her..
As expected, it was a decently large area with a kitchen section, a 5-person table and the living room with 3 couches and a shelf with various books. On the left you could see a smaller section with bunk beds and a small desk, to the right
however, there were 2 doors.
"The tent can be rearranged easily, originally only the bathroom had a door, but I put one on the main bedroom and transfigured the bunkbeds into a larger bed."
"Oh? And you had to put a door in it? We are the only people here." I said with a teasing tone.
"Oh shush! There is only so much I could do with the materials the tent provides."
"Sure… And you also wanted privacy from the eventual others we get to join us in the Skyblock right?"
"Of course I do, I also soundproofed it just in case you cause me to scream…"
"You
want me to make you scream already?" I asked and she blushed, again.

You know… Usually this challenge is less boring as a videogame, but then again… we have nothing to do on this one until the portal opens. I can already tell that it's not going to be a very active week for either of us in terms of progress.

Once the Nirvasyl Syndrome crisis ended, a Contractor entered the world and captured Ogami Shirou, taking him out of the setting and leaving her alone in the middle of a request from the mayor. Unfortunately this led her to getting stuck on a plane that went back to the mainland.
While she could in theory fly back to anima city on her own, she is not a bird Beastmen by birth, meaning she does not have the instincts of one and has no idea on how to orient herself in order to get back to anima city.
You will be inserted into the same city she is in and given her approximate location, help her get back to anima city safely before she is discovered as a Beastman.

I probably spent hours exploring the compulsory missions and contemplating if I should take one now, it probably wouldn't help pass time quicker, but it may stave off the boredom of the first few days.
"Umm… Alex? Or is it Eve now?" Hermione asked while I was looking at the holographic display on my device.
"Eve is fine, got to get used to it anyway… what is it?" I asked.
"You've been out here for a while… You alright?" she asked me with a hint of concern on her face.
"Yeah, checking the compulsory missions the company assigned me already."
"Compulsory missions?"
"Yeah, in exchange for the overpowered substitution target I agreed to being sent missions that I have to complete no matter what, luckily there is no time limit to accept them."
"I see… And are we going on any of them any time soon?"
"Not exactly going anywhere. I'm going to take one the one I need to take anyways, it will take a long time to finish it but it's an easy one."
With that I turned to my phone and searched for the mission, selecting it and expanding every objective in it.
