Chapter 19 - _The Rhythm _

Ash had fallen asleep in the library.

His head rested against the smooth wooden table, a book still open beneath his arm. Around him, the world was quiet—rows of bookshelves, muted lights, and a calm, almost sacred silence.

The door creaked open slowly.

Izan stepped inside.

His eyes found Ash instantly.

They softened.

Izan (POV)

It's been a while since we last met.

That day—the ticket he had given Ash—had been canceled due to company issues. After explaining, Izan had been swallowed by work once again.

Busy days. Endless nights.

Yet every day, without fail, he came here.

He never woke Ash.

Never spoke.

He only looked… and left.

For some reason, Izan thought, I can't go on without seeing his face.

Quietly, he walked closer.

He slipped a ticket beneath the book near Ash's hand, along with a small folded note. His fingers lingered for just a second—then he turned and left the library as silently as he had entered.

Some time later, Ash stirred.

His lashes fluttered open.

Something slipped from the book.

A ticket.

Ash blinked, then smiled softly.

"Izan…"

He picked up the ticket and unfolded the small note attached to it.

Tomorrow, 9 PM

Place: Stadium

You have a seat at the back.

I know you like it there—

the view is more beautiful than anywhere else.

— Izan

Ash's smile deepened.

Carefully, he placed the ticket inside a book, slid it into his bag, gathered his things, and left the library—his steps lighter than before.

Next Night

The stadium hummed with quiet anticipation.

Ash sat at the back, just as the note had promised.

Waiting.

The curtains slowly lifted.

Lights gathered on a single figure.

Izan.

He stood beneath the glow, dressed in soft black—elegant, breathtaking. A black mask hid his face.

Izan (POV)

I've never worn black before.

But Ash likes black.

Ash's eyes sparkled—not only because of Izan's beauty, but because of something deeper.

He could hear it.

Izan's thoughts.

Izan (POV)

This is the first time I'm dancing for someone.

This is for you, Ash.

Ash's breath caught.

His face flushed.

Then the music began.

Every step flowed like a heartbeat.

Every turn carried emotion.

Every pause felt intentional—

like silence between notes.

Slowly, Izan lifted his hand and removed the mask.

His eyes met Ash's.

He smiled—beautifully.

Ash forgot how to breathe.

Audience (POV)

Izan had never looked at the audience before.

He had never smiled.

Ash clutched his chest, his eyes never leaving Izan.

He pulled out his art book.

His hand moved on its own.

He drew Izan—otherworldly, exactly as he was.

Izan ended the dance elegantly, holding his final pose—

Facing Ash.

Audience (POV)

He had never ended a dance facing the audience either.

Is someone he loves here…?

No one knows.

Ash's brush slipped from his fingers.

He whispered to himself, barely audible.

"He's killing me with those eyes…"

His entire dance felt like a yearning.

Damn…

"Izan… what are you doing to my heart?"

He picked up the brush again and finished the sketch—

Izan's final pose.

Beside him, Irel—who had been sitting quietly—noticed the two of them.

And smiled

Backstage, Izan was feeling so tensed and excited

His chest felt tight, his heartbeat loud in his ears.

Izan (POV)

Damn…

Never in my life have I felt emotions like this.

Ash… you're driving me crazy.

"Izan."

He turned.

Ash stood there, visibly flustered.

"It was… otherworldly," Ash said softly.

"You didn't feel real."

He opened his art book and held it out.

Izan's breath hitched.

On the page—his own image.

But his eyes weren't empty

They were shining brightly

Izan chuckled beautifully

Ash stood there stunned

Izan

It's mesmerizingly beautiful ash

Can I have a moment?" a voice asked

They both turned

Irel stood there,

"Yeah," they said together

Irel looked at Izan first

"I'm Irel. I'm a film student

I'm making a themed film."

He paused

"Will you dance in it?"

Then he looked at Ash

"And… would you be the artist?"

Ash met Irel's eyes—Ash instinctively read Irel's soul

Then he smiled softly

"I will."

Izan glanced at Ash, then back at Irel

"I will too."
