Chapter 57 - TO NAIROBI, THE CAPITAL (4)

The train with serial number 8228 stopped along the Aquatic blue's Nakuru branch, specifically in Molo prefecture. There were a number of stops such trains had to endure, especially on their way to the capital. This was a way to ensure that people were safe or not being hijacked along the way. Although there are others who say that this method is used to transport illegal goods to and from Nairobi. This was because there was a lot of new imports such as narcotics (Drugs not taken for healing but rather for recreation.)

Recent studies show that there have been a lot of drug users over the recent years. And that number has been climbing drastically. Sure we could just chalk this up to foreigners and the like bringing them in, but it seems highly unlikely. Because the country itself is Christian Narcotics such as Marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and Tobacco are not allowed within the country (legally anyway).

Although this is changing especially with the rise of foreign media and other factors such as well I don't know maybe the Vatican having control over the government in Loliwe and they grant permissions to certain individuals to do things that aren't lawful and in return they give something back to the Vatican thus expanding their reach and global empire. But you know that just might be some propaganda and not have anything to do with the drug trade at all.

Anyway, the train had stopped and was currently being assessed. All passengers were asked to remain calm, if everything was ok they'd board the train and continue on their journey.

 "Did you see anything?"

"Yes, there was a boy with white hair." Said multiple sources, "He was telling us to move from our allocated cars to newer ones. But maybe he was just trying to help and might not have anything to do with the attack."

"Yeah he was mad cool, and his green eyes were so erotic."

There is usually a number of individuals who are sent to do these things. And since this was a sorcery matter you might have guessed that these guys were sorcerers as well. They are known as local saints and are responsible for handling all things sorcery related within specific regions and counties.

"How many dead?" Asked one of the local saints to the police representatives their.

"I counted about 10 bodies, but they could be more as some were just cut into tiny pieces." responded one of the police probably the head police in charge of the entire case.

"What was this all about even?"

"According to the people there was a lot of commotion on the train, this probably had to do with the sorcerers fighting."

 "But their were no casualties?"

"None at all, its insane, but there was blood in one of the cars. It wasn't any of the passenger's but rather someone else. People we can't identify."

"Then maybe it'd be safer just to hand over this case to the highest office."

The officer stood their idle for a moment, "Let's continue gathering statements it will help when we eventually crack this case wide open."

If they ever cracked it open. Which was a possibility that appeared to be far fetched at that moment. The moment the officer saw blood he had decided not to involve himself in this case for the sake of his own life. And this was evident as he didn't really pay attention to his surroundings, otherwise there was a crucial detail that he wouldn't have missed.

'Attention all passengers for train serial number 8228, please reboard the train and continue on your journey, safe travels.' Spoke the lady on the intercoms.

However, now on that train were a few vacant seats. One of which belonged to a particularly well build man with glasses and long silver hair. He stood outside the boarding platform before checking his watch and grabbing his gear and heading out.

Just outside the station this man received a call from his employer.

"Have you killed them yet." The police chief's voice spoke. He sat on his desk back in Kisumu.

 "No."

 "May I ask why not?"

"The other idiots your state hired almost blew my cover. Their interference made it so I couldn't even attack when they were distracted." The man made no expression with his face, he was calm and orderly.

"So are you saying you can't do it now?"

"I'll kill them when I find them." From his jacket pocket the man took out a pack of cigarettes, he then popped on in his mouth.

 "Find them? are they lost?"

The man didn't respond as he was looking for his lighter.

"Hey I know you can hear me!"

"I'll call when the job is done." He hung up and put the phone back in his pocket.

'Peculiar, but it is useful for me since the police don't know where they are and won't bother to know. If they had they would have realized that one of the train cars was missing. They unhinged the last train car and it lost momentum, by that time we were only 6 to 7 minutes away from the station, and if we assume it was decelerating at an average speed of 10m/s squared over a distance of 500 meters.' The man took a puff, 'Molo is close to the border between Kericho and Nakuru so if my estimation is correct they should still be at the border.'

Now dear reader you might be wondering who this man is and what is he doing. Well if so then I'll be happy to tell you, his name is Donovan Blight five star hunter sorcerer.

He took another puff of his cigarette and this time he let the smoke spread out slowly.

HOLLOW WHITE SOLDIERS!

From the smoke he let out, soldiers were formed from it. They took the shape of men.

"Ok boys, we've got a good job today. So let's make it count."

 ***

"Let's hurry before they come back to check the tracks again." The group hurried out of the train car. The rails of the Aquatic blue passed over a giant ridge that separated the vast ocean from the inland mountains. The ridge itself was part of the escarpment of the Great rift valley that once passed through there a couple of centuries ago.

So to one side if the ridge was an escarpment that led to the ocean, on the other side was another escarpment that led towards a bushy semi-desert area.

"But its so steep." The man in white looked over the escarpment, it was a very steep slope.

 LYNN: SHADOW CORRIDOR

Akame stretched out his left hand, a black essence came out from Lynn (The ring on his finger) Creating steps through a dark corridor that seemed to stretch on forever.

"The corridor closes when I step through it, so I suggest you guys head in first."

"But where does it lead to?" Gil asked.

 "I don't know."

"Very comforting isn't it?" The man in white said as he passed through the corridor. Gil closed his eyes and followed suit. "I really don't like dark places."

"Let's go." Akame held out his elbow and Catherine in turn locked hers around it as the two of them descended the stairs.
