Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Reincarnated as a Teacher

March in Chiba was warmer than usual, the gentle spring breeze carrying the faint fragrance of blooming cherry blossoms that still clung stubbornly to the edges of the trees.

The streets of Makuhari district buzzed with the usual hum of morning commuters, bicycles ringing their bells, and the distant calls of vendors opening their shops.

Cadis Etrama Di Raizel strode through the quiet morning streets, his long, jet-black hair slightly tousled by the wind.

To any passerby, he looked like a work of art brought to life. High cheekbones, pale flawless skin, and piercing crimson eyes that seemed to see through the very soul. His expression was calm, detached—cold, almost unapproachable—but the faint curve at the corner of his lips betrayed the warmth beneath. He moved with the elegance of someone centuries old, though in truth, he had only recently graduated.

Today, he was dressed in a tailored white suit reminiscent of his past life's style, his long coat flowing behind him as he walked. Every step carried the same refined aura as the legendary vampire of tales he once admired.

Raizel had not always walked these streets of Chiba.

His previous life had ended abruptly due to a face-to-face session with the isekai envoy, truck-kun.

As the usual isekai trope suggests, during his final year of college his parents died in a car accident.

Orphaned and alone, he had inherited a small apartment complex in Tokyo, a mundane yet stable reminder of his lost family. Yet, life had a curious way of handing him second chances.

One month prior, he had woken to find himself transplanted into a world slightly different from the one he knew.

It was an inconveniently perfect reincarnation: young, handsome, and gifted with knowledge that no one else in this world had. And now, here he was, standing in front of Soubu High School, about to begin his career as an English teacher.

"Cadis Etrama Di Raizel," he muttered to himself, the syllables tasting foreign yet natural on his tongue. He recalled the morning he awoke in his new body, the realization dawning slowly—he was not a student, not a hero, not a protagonist in the usual sense of isekai tales. He was an adult. A teacher. A man responsible for molding the next generation.

Yet, Raizel was nothing if not pragmatic. A month ago, after settling into the apartment he now called home, Raizel observed the gaps in this worlds entertainment landscape and he devised a plan, as was to be expected from the members of transmigrators alliance.

The best-selling novels, the hit anime, the manga that had enthralled millions in his previous life—they were mostly completely absent here.

Why mostly? Well this has got to do with when Raizel was in the midst of his investigations and realized that some characters of the popular anime, manga and light novels where actually living-breathing people of this world. It was then that he realized he had been reborn in a mash-up anime world.

A golden opportunity, he realized. If he played his cards right, he could become a light novel author—or as he preferred to call it, a "copywriter"—and secure both fame and wealth in a market desperately starved of quality stories.

He had spent hours weighing his options. After careful thought, he decided to submit a novel based on Sword Art Online to the Fujikawa Bunko competition. The rules were clear: the top ten contestants would see their works serialized, with prizes ranging from 2 million yen for first place, 1 million yen for second and 500,000 yen for third place.

Raizel smiled faintly at the memory of calculating the odds in his mind. With his knowledge, he had a near-perfect blueprint.

But first, the mundane tasks awaited him. He adjusted the cuffs of his tailored coat and stepped onto the school grounds.

Soubu High School was bustling with students already wandering the corridors, chattering and laughing. And yet, as soon as Cadis appeared in the front hall, a sudden hush fell over the crowd. His presence was magnetic, his appearance impossible to ignore.

"Is… he a model?" one student whispered.

"Or some kind of actor?" another murmured.

Raizel ignored them. His destination was the principals office. The buildings corridors were familiar yet oddly different. He knocked once and entered upon hearing the soft acknowledgment.

"Ah, you must be Cadis Etrama Di Raizel," the principal greeted warmly, an older man with a gentle yet commanding presence.

"Welcome to Soubu High. We're glad to have you on board."

After a brief discussion about his duties and the schedule, Raizel was introduced to the teaching staff in the lounge. The room was filled with murmurs and curious stares as he walked in.

Then, finally, his gaze met hers.

Shizuka Hiratsuka.

Time seemed to slow. Shizukas hair, framed her face perfectly, and her expression was one of pure shock with hints of joy and guilt.

Raizels lips quirked ever so slightly.

"Shizu," he said, his voice cracked full of emotions, unlike how he usually carried himself with that detached elegance that had characterized him since high school.

She froze, stared at him for a while and answered. "R-R-Raizel…? Is that really you? I didn't expect to see you here."

The room froze.

"Wait… you two know each other?" someone asked timidly.

"Yes," Raizel replied smoothly, his eyes never leaving hers.

"Highschool classmates. She… transferred without notice."

Shizuka rolled her eyes, her usual teasing tone returning. "And you… vanished from my life without a single word. Figures we'd meet again under such ridiculous circumstances."

Raizel inclined his head ever so slightly, the faintest trace of a smile touching his lips. "I suppose life has its own sense of humor."

The teachers in the room exchanged glances, some confused, some amused. Clearly, these two had a history, and it was far more complex than anyone could guess.

"Raizel," the principal said, adjusting his glasses and leaning forward slightly, "I'll leave the morning homeroom to you. Class 2-G is waiting. I trust you'll make a good impression."

"Understood," Raizel replied, his voice calm and steady.

He stood, smoothed his coat over his shoulders, and left the office. Each step down the corridor drew curious glances from passing teachers and students alike, whispers following him as naturally as the echo of his polished shoes on the tile.

The hallway outside Class 2-G was a chaotic symphony. Students clustered in small groups, some leaning against lockers, some sprawled on the floor with manga open, and a couple of the more ambitious first-years nervously checking their hair in the reflective panels of the corridor windows.

As Raizel approached the classroom door, a hush swept across the room.

The door swung open with a quiet creak.

Raizel stepped inside, tall and poised, long black coat slightly trailing behind him, his crimson eyes scanning the room with calculated serenity.

"Good morning, Class 2-G," he said, his voice calm and even.

After writing his name on the blackboard, Raizel smiled and said "Hello everyone, I am Cadis Etrama di Raizel, I will be your homeroom teacher and your English instructor from now on, you can call me Cadis-sensei or just sensei, any would do. If you have any problems you are facing don't hesitate to come to me. Let's take care of each other "

As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly felt pairs of hungry gazes from some of the female students in class and undisguised admiration from the boys. What would you expect, with someone with the appearance of a vampire lord as your class teacher.

Raizel smiled to the class and said, "Today marks the official start of everyone's high school life at Soubu High. Let's all introduce ourselves! and while we are at it pick a class representative too, if anyone wants to run for class president, you can just mention it during your self-introduction!"

The classroom became lively once again with the students introducing themselves in order.

Soon it was the turn of a blonde twin-tailed girl, "Hello everyone, I'm Sawamura Spencer Eriri. My father is British and my mother is Japanese. My hair color is natural. I love to draw. Please take care of me".

The boys in the class were losing their cool as it seems the person they were waiting to be introduced the most was finally introduced.

'Wait a sec, wasn't Eriri supposed to be in Toyogasaki Academy? What is she doing in Soubu High? Sigh, who cares about such details' , Raizel thought to himself after Eriri's self-introduction.

Next was a boy with average looks, "I'm Tenjou Yuuma. My hobby and specialty is tennis. If anyone is interested, feel free to reach out".

"I'm Nishikata Kazuma from PK Middle School. My hobbies are eating, sleeping and playing games. Please take care of me".

"I am Katou Megumi. I like sweets, cooking and shopping. Please take care of me".

'Yep that self introduction was as ordinary as could get. As expected of you Kato' , Raizel thought amused.

Next was a boy with thick black framed glasses. "Hi everyone, I'm Aki Tomoya, a true Otaku. My favorite anime is My Dress-up  Darling, and my favorite game is... well I love all galgames ."

"If anyone is interested in galgames , feel free to talk to me. I plan to start a club as soon as possible to develop my own fantastic galgames."

'Ah, Aki Tomoya, The Japanese Tang San, one of the most trolled characters by fanfiction authors. Well can't blame them for hating the guy. He is a piece of sh*t, after all. Using the love of the female characters to exploit them in to working for him for free while he pretends not to notice their feelings and go on dates with Megumi Kato.', Raizel thought inwardly staring at Tomoya.

"I'm Yukino Yukinoshita" said a cold faced beauty.

Next to speak was a girl with waist-length dark flaxen hair with an exquisite appearance, "Hello everyone, I'm Shiina Mahiru. I love cooking and helping others, please take care of me".

"An Angel" exclaimed one boy.
