Noticing her relaxed demeanor, Damian Hawthorne gently raised an eyebrow. "I figured as much. You don't have the patience for it."
Cecilia Nathan tossed the cloth in her hand aside. "But now I have to be your caregiver. After all, you injured your eyes for my sake. Once your eyes are stable, we'll be even."
She wouldn't have stayed here if she hadn't heard the doctor say his eye problems were caused by the car accident.
"Be even?" Damian Hawthorne pointed to his eyes. "My eyes were perfectly fine, and now they're like this because I saved you. You'll have to be responsible for me for the rest of my life."
