The first week had been about arrival the shock of Mira being alive, the weight of the prophecy laid flat on a table, the twins settling into the Temple's stillness like they'd been waiting for exactly this kind of quiet. Everything had the texture of things still landing after a long fall. Processing rather than moving forward.
The second week the Temple started working in earnest, and the difference was something you felt in the walls before you understood it in your head.

By the third day of the second week she was sitting differently during the sessions her attention sharpened to a point rather than spread wide the way it was during observation. Something had shifted in what she was watching for. Aelara noticed her and said nothing. Seraphine told things when she was ready and not before, and pushing that process produced nothing useful.
