Selene's POV
"You're going to regret this officer,you have no right to arrest me" Carlos cursed, trying to resist the officer who was cuffing him.
"I'll advise you to not make things difficult for yourself Mr Rodriguez,his neighbors saw you battering him and you know better than to try and resist arrest" the lead officer warned.
Carlos spat at him but eventually gave in to the arrest. Dan was standing by the kitchen door like he knew nothing of what was going on.
I would have mentioned him to the police,I wanted to but what good would that do? He was just a worker trying to get his pay. The real monster was Carlos.
As the officers led Carlos out,he turned to Dan"Call Attorney Philip,tell him to come to the station right away."
Dan responded with a nod,then his eyes moved to mine and in that moment I wished for to be swallowed by the ground.
I let out a sigh of relief when he finally left with the police and Dan followed suit shutting the door behind him.
