Carlos's POV
My life flashed before my eyes, Alejandro was carelessly dragging Selene into a jet.
I sprinted towards the jet but the unspeakable happened. One second I had Alejandro pinned beneath me,his blood on my knuckles as I continued to rain blows on him and the next second she was right in the path of my swing.
Selene.
She threw herself between us like a shield."Stop!"
Her bone cracked as she tried to hold my hand to stop the blows that were landing on Alejandro's face but it was too late.
My elbow was already coming down and that which was meant for Alejandro's jaw caught her instead .
The sound she made was small. A choked gasp or rather a punched-out breath.
She folded instantly.
Her knees buckled,her hands flew to her side with her mouth opened wide in a silent scream that never came. She dropped like a marionette with cut strings first to her knees and then sideways onto the tarmac.
