Chapter 57 - Chapter 57 The Great Dragon Crushes the Small Dragon

A week passed, and Norbert grew incredibly fast.

From a tiny lizard, he was now as big as Fang.

The timid hound saw Norbert and scurried into a corner with his tail between his legs, wishing he could bury himself in the ground.

Malfoy also didn't go to inform the Professor; he was genuinely a little afraid of Charlie. That person was too strange; just look at how he trained the Dragon. Malfoy had no doubt he would use poison.

Hagrid fed Norbert chicken blood brandy every day, and his chickens suffered for it.

"Norbert, time to eat!" Hagrid brought a large bowl of blood-red liquid and carefully placed it on the table.

Norbert flapped his wings, drank the entire bowl of chicken blood brandy in one go, then let out a satisfied burp.

"Oh my goodness, this guy is almost a drunkard now." Ron pinched his nose and took a few steps back.

Charlie sat on a chair, watching Norbert act spoiled in Hagrid's arms.

After the last special training, this Baby Dragon was both afraid and respectful of him, becoming as docile as a kitten whenever he saw Charlie.

"Hagrid, in two more weeks, your Hut won't be able to hold him," Hermione said, pointing at the roof.

Hagrid looked troubled.

"I don't know what to do either."

"Didn't you say he could be put in the Forbidden Forest?"

Hagrid shook his head:

"I asked the Centaur, and they disagreed."

A few days ago, Hagrid went to discuss this with the Centaur, but when the Centaur heard about raising a Dragon in the Forbidden Forest, they nearly jumped up in fright.

"Firenze said Hogwarts was raising a Dragon before, and we didn't believe it," Bane, the Centaur leader, had said, staring with eyes like brass bells.

"Now you still want to let a Dragon roam free in the Forbidden Forest? Absolutely not!"

Hagrid was thus chased out.

Charlie looked at everyone's worried faces and began to ponder.

His trunk now had so much gold, and in the future, it would surely hold more things. Having only one smart lock wasn't very safe.

Anyone could just take the trunk and, after some research, might be able to open it.

If Norbert were kept in the trunk, an outsider entering and a large Dragon jumping out would be quite a surprise, wouldn't it?

Thinking of this, Charlie spoke.

"Actually, I have a place where Norbert can be kept."

Hagrid asked excitedly.

"Really? Charlie, what's your plan?"

"Don't rush, I have a condition," Charlie said slowly.

"You have to be responsible for his three meals a day."

"No problem, no problem!" Hagrid nodded repeatedly.

"As long as Norbert can have a safe place, I'm already very grateful. I'll take care of the food."

Charlie nodded in satisfaction.

"Then you all wait here; I'll go back and get something."

Harry asked curiously, "What thing?"

"You'll know soon enough."

Charlie kept them in suspense, then turned and walked towards the Castle.

Back in the dormitory, Ernie and Justin were not there. Charlie entered the undetectable extension trunk.

The scene inside the trunk was completely different from its previous empty state.

There was a lush grove of trees, several small hills arranged artfully, and a small pond in the center.

These were all secretly transplanted by Charlie from the Forbidden Forest.

The gold was hidden in one of the caves, piled in a corner of the cave.

"Judy!" Charlie called out.

A rustling sound came from the cave, and Judy poked his small head out from the pile of gold.

"Come out, come with me."

Charlie waved his hand.

Judy reluctantly glanced at the gold coins and jumped onto Charlie's shoulder.

Charlie didn't want Norbert to come in and swallow Judy whole.

Charlie returned to Hagrid's Hut with the trunk.

"This is it."

Charlie placed the trunk on the table.

Hagrid's eyes widened, his face full of pleasant surprise.

"This is an undetectable extension trunk? Charlie, how do you have this? These things are not common, and…"

His voice suddenly dropped.

"It's not illegal, is it?"

Charlie had already prepared his excuse.

"Professor Dumbledore gave it to me, as for the reason…" He waved his hand mysteriously.

"He didn't let me say."

Hagrid suddenly understood, nodding repeatedly.

"I understand, I understand, I'm the best at keeping secrets."

"I will absolutely not say a word about Professor Dumbledore's affairs!"
