After filling his stomach, Charlie put down his fork and looked towards the Gryffindor long table.
The Weasley Twins were there, chatting animatedly with their classmates.
Charlie got up and walked towards them. The Twins had taken him on night excursions for so long, and now that he knew how to deal with Cerberus, he naturally had to invite them along.
"Fred, George!" Charlie walked to the Gryffindor long table, lowering his voice.
"Interested in something big tonight?"
Fred's eyes lit up: "How big?"
"To the Chamber of Secrets on the fourth floor."
George's eyes widened.
"You know how to deal with that Cerberus now?"
"That's right."
The Twins exchanged glances, their eyes sparkling with eagerness.
Just then, Harry leaned over, his eyes full of excitement.
"Charlie, I heard Hermione say you're going to the Chamber of Secrets on the fourth floor."
Charlie raised an eyebrow.
"You want to join too?"
"Of course!" Harry nodded without hesitation.
"Someone in the school must have ill intentions towards what's inside—you know what it is—towards it."
"I want to see if it's well-protected."
Ron, who had heard everything clearly from the side, felt a little nervous, but seeing his friend and brothers joining, he also steeled himself.
"Count me in."
"Of course," Charlie clapped his hands.
"Tonight at eleven, gather in the fourth-floor corridor."
After the feast, students returned to their respective dormitories.
In the Gryffindor common room, Harry and Ron spread out their homework and began frantically catching up.
They had played too much during the holidays and completely forgotten about homework, so they wanted to finish it quickly before their night excursion.
"Damn it, I haven't written a single word of the Potion Class essay."
Ron clutched his hair, looking desperate.
Harry wasn't much better, with a table full of parchment covered in unfinished assignments.
Hermione sat nearby. Although she was unwilling to let them copy her homework, she patiently explained the key points to them.
"The main point of Transfiguration is to concentrate and imagine the process of the object changing..."
She marked the parchment as she spoke.
Harry looked at her gratefully.
"Hermione, you're truly our savior."
Just then, Hermione saw the notebook on Harry's table.
She felt the cover of that notebook was very familiar.
It was identical to the one Charlie had given her.
Hermione frowned, reached out, picked up the notebook, and opened it.
The content, handwriting, and even the page layout were completely identical to hers.
"Harry, how do you have this?"
Harry was startled and explained.
"This is a Christmas gift from Charlie."
"Christmas gift?"
"Yeah," Harry nodded as a matter of course.
"Great notes, but honestly, some of the content I don't quite understand."
Ron also looked up and pulled out an identical notebook from his bag.
"I have one too. Charlie said these are his specially made study notes."
Hermione's eyes widened: "One for each of you?"
This lying cheat!
Soon it was 11 o'clock, and everyone in the common room had returned to their rooms to rest.
Harry closed his homework and stretched.
"Finally finished."
Ron also put down his quill and shook his sore wrist.
"I swear I'll never procrastinate on homework next holiday."
Such words were like farts.
As the two were about to sneak out, Hermione suddenly stood up from behind the sofa.
"Wait."
Harry and Ron jumped in surprise, looking at her in confusion.
"I'm coming with you," Hermione said.
Harry's eyes widened.
"What?"
Ron's mouth dropped open even wider.
"Hermione? Voluntarily coming on a night excursion with us?"
"She's not possessed by Peeves, is she?"
Harry whispered.
Hermione's face flushed slightly, and she explained somewhat awkwardly.
"I'm afraid you'll get caught and lose house points."
"Gryffindor has already lost a lot of points because of you two."
Harry and Ron exchanged glances, both feeling that Hermione was a bit off today.
But since she volunteered, they had no reason to refuse.
Harry took out his Invisibility Cloak, which Dumbledore had given him for Christmas.
Harry had often used this cloak to go on night excursions during the holidays.
Ron was already used to it, but it was Hermione's first time seeing it.
Though her face was full of surprise, she didn't say anything.
The three quietly left the common room and walked down the corridor, cloaked.
On the fourth floor, Charlie and the Weasley Twins were already waiting.
Harry lifted the cloak, appearing before Charlie and The Twins.
"Harry, what is this?"
Charlie was very surprised. A head suddenly appearing in front of him, and only a head at that, who wouldn't be surprised?
"An Invisibility Cloak, an heirloom left to me by my father," Harry explained.
Charlie looked at the cloak with a hint of envy. As expected of Pure-blood Family, they had so many good things.
If all those Pure-blood Family were raided, how many good things would there be?
Harry was unaware of Charlie's dangerous thoughts, taking off the cloak and putting it away.
Only then did Charlie see Hermione and Ron following Harry.
What concerned him more was the resentful look Hermione gave him.
"What's wrong with her?" Charlie quietly asked Harry.
Harry shook his head.
"I don't know, she's been like this ever since she saw the notebook you gave her."
Charlie instantly understood.
She knew she had been tricked.
He walked up to Hermione with a pained expression.
Hermione thought he was coming to apologize and turned her head away, feigning indifference.
Charlie said with feigned reluctance:
"When are you jumping off the astronomy tower?"
Hermione then remembered what she had said on the train.
Her face instantly flushed crimson, and she turned to glare at Charlie.
"Charlie White! Doesn't your conscience hurt?"
Charlie chuckled.
I don't have such a thing.
