Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: I choose you, Fire Dragon!

Charlie had no idea; he had just woken up. His previous performance was due to another unique skill.

As soon as he heard his name in class, he could instantly wake up and appear as if he had never been asleep.

Charlie blinked, his brain working rapidly.

He heard the spells rising and falling in the classroom, and students waving their wands, and immediately understood the current situation.

"Transfiguring a silver needle, Professor."

Charlie answered with certainty.

Professor McGonagall's eyebrows raised slightly, and a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes:

"Since you know what the task is, Mr. White, why aren't you putting it into practice?"

Charlie showed a confident smile:

"Because I already know how, Professor."

As soon as he said this, not only was Professor McGonagall stunned, but even the surrounding students stopped what they were doing and turned to look at Charlie.

Ernie and Justin were even more dumbfounded; they had seen Charlie sleep through the entire class!

It was over, it was over. Now not only was he sleeping in class, but he was also lying to the teacher.

Professor McGonagall pursed her lips, her gaze becoming serious.

She had a deep impression of Charlie, after all, she had personally introduced him to the Wizarding World.

Originally, she had a good impression of Charlie, but what she least wanted to see was a student lying in class.

"Is that so?" Professor McGonagall's tone grew a few degrees colder.

"Then, please show everyone."

The classroom immediately fell silent, and everyone's eyes were fixed on Charlie.

Ernie's palms were sweating from nervousness; he was genuinely worried about his new roommate.

Charlie didn't respond, he just picked up his wand and waved it gently.

"Transfiguring a silver needle," Charlie whispered.

The match on the table trembled, then, under everyone's gaze, it transformed into a shining silver needle.

The entire class gasped, and even Professor McGonagall's eyes widened.

She reached out and picked up the silver needle, examining it carefully, confirming that it was indeed a perfect silver needle, without any trace of a match.

"Impressive, Mr. White," Professor McGonagall's tone carried obvious surprise.

She hadn't expected Charlie to actually know Transfiguration. One must know that even for pure-blood Wizards who had been immersed in magic since childhood, it was very difficult to successfully transfigure something in the first class, let alone a Muggle-born Wizard.

It seemed Charlie had prepared well during the summer. Thinking of this, she showed an appreciative look.

Professor McGonagall most admired students who loved to learn.

"Five points to Hufflepuff for Mr. White's excellent Transfiguration performance," Professor McGonagall announced, then turned to the whole class.

"Do you see? This is the result of early preparation and diligent practice."

Ernie and Justin stared at Charlie in disbelief, their expressions as incredulous as if they had seen a flying pig.

No way, buddy, you get extra points for sleeping?

When the bell rang for the end of class, Charlie finally fully woke up.

Professor McGonagall put away her wand and scanned the classroom:

"Today's homework is to practice transfiguring matches into silver needles and write an essay about the process. I will check everyone's progress next class."

Students packed their bags, preparing to leave the classroom.

Justin groaned that the homework was too difficult; he had never written an essay before.

The three walked out of the classroom together, Ernie still chattering on about Charlie's talent.

Back in the Hufflepuff common room, Charlie found a corner to sit down and began to check the rewards from last night's lottery.

"little system, what did I win last night?"

"Reporting, Your Majesty, last night you gained Levitation Charm proficiency +20, Flock of Birds proficiency +100, Transfiguration proficiency +50, Animagus..."

The system rattled off a long list, making Charlie dizzy.

"Stop, stop, stop. Specifically, what is that Animagus?"

"Animagus is an advanced Transfiguration that allows a Wizard to transform into a specific animal form. This is a very rare talent; there are no more than seven registered Animagus in the entire British Wizarding World."

Charlie's eyes instantly lit up:

"Transform into an animal? Then I want to transform into an Eastern Divine Dragon!"

"I regret to inform you, Your Majesty, the Animagus provided by the system can transform into magical creatures, but they must be animals that exist in this world."

"Then what's the point?"

Charlie disappointedly slapped his thigh.

Justin winced and removed his hand from his own leg.

"Can you slap your own leg?"

Charlie casually brushed him off.

"I'll let you copy my homework."

"Dad, slap me two more times, otherwise I won't feel secure copying it."

Justin's expression instantly changed. Charlie's Transfiguration skills were evident to all; his homework would definitely be well-written.

Having dealt with Justin, Charlie continued to ponder.

He had originally thought of transforming into a Divine Dragon from Eastern mythology, capable of soaring through the sky and diving into the sea, with explosive combat power.

But it could only transform into animals that existed in this world.

"Your Majesty need not be disappointed; there are many powerful magical creatures in this world. For example, Dragons, Thunderbirds..."

Although he couldn't transform into a Divine Dragon, a Dragon seemed pretty good too.

Charlie rubbed his hands: "Then I want to transform into a Dragon!"

"The types of Dragons include: Australian Opaleye, Hungarian Horntail, Chinese Fireball Dragon..."

"No need to say more, just the Chinese Fireball Dragon."

The name made Charlie feel very familiar.

"Confirm selecting Chinese Fireball Dragon as your Animagus form? Once confirmed, it cannot be changed."

"Confirm!" Charlie said without hesitation.

"Selection complete. Your Majesty's Animagus form has been set to Chinese Fireball Dragon. Due to system enhancement, you do not need a learning process and can transform directly."

Thinking of being able to fly after transforming, Charlie felt a little excited.

Who didn't dream of flying when they were a child?

Charlie got up and walked towards Ernie and Justin: "I'm going out for some fresh air. You guys do your homework first."

"Want to come along?" Ernie looked up and asked.

"No, I'm just going for a walk."

Charlie waved his hand and quickly left the common room.

He walked along the corridor and headed outside, aiming directly for the Forbidden Forest.

It was a secluded place, perfect for testing new abilities.
