Within a vast space.
"Phew, finally finished copying it all."
Lucien looked at the three sets of documents before him. Two of them, stacked, were as tall as a person, while the third was slightly shorter.
These were records of several magical creatures, including Mooncalves, Diricawls, Acromantulas, Unicorns, Centaurs…
"System, these are the observation records for five magical creatures."
Lucien patted the shortest stack of papers.
[Reviewing: Mooncalf, Diricawl, Acromantula, Puffskein, Centaur]
[All requirements met]
[Pet growth loan repaid]
At the same time, the shortest stack of documents vanished.
Another loan paid off.
He still had two monthly loans left. One was for the Chimera manual he had just borrowed, which required him to first learn the Bio-Composite Transfiguration within it and create a Chimera with at least five biological characteristics.
The other was for the diligent little gardener's loan, and those Chinese Chomping Cabbages were also growing very well.
Hmm, last night he just happened to find a Mooncalf burrow in the Forbidden Forest and collected some Mooncalf dung. He had enough fertilizer for the next few days.
Lucien glanced around the empty space.
Once he refined some small, portable Undetectable Extension Charm containers, he would go and collect a few Mooncalves. Then, collecting fertilizer would be much easier.
Lucien pulled a few small pebbles from his pocket and tapped them with his wand.
A desk and an armchair appeared in the empty space.
After sitting down, Lucien began to write a letter:
"Dear Mr. Newt Scamander:
Thank you for your guidance. I have successfully created an Undetectable Extension Charm container that can hold living creatures…
I have a question I'd like to ask. If I were to cultivate plants inside, what growth factors would be needed…
These documents are my daily observation records of magical creatures. Perhaps they are not extensive, but I wonder if you would consider them accurate…"
He folded the letter, placed it in an envelope, and sealed it.
He summoned Lumina from the pet space.
Lucien took out the small satchel from last time, cast a basic Undetectable Extension Charm on it, and used magic to stabilize the space inside.
First, he controlled a stack of documents as tall as a person to fly into the satchel, then he put in the letter.
Aside from the Mooncalves and Diricawls, information on Acromantulas and Centaurs is generally hard to record. With these complete records, Newt should be able to recognize his understanding of magical creatures.
Cerberus are also rare, but unfortunately, there's only Fluffy as an individual. Still, it's acceptable; being too perfect might seem unreal.
Hmm, the main thing is the Unicorns, especially pregnant Unicorns. Such information should also be considered rare.
He wondered if Newt had conducted any research in this area. His records might be a good trump card.
Lucien glanced at the small satchel and then pulled a small cedarwood bottle from his pocket.
This contained Acromantula venom.
Strictly speaking, it was Aragog's venom. Acromantulas of this age are quite rare, and the venom they produce is even more valuable.
It served as proof, and also as a small gift.
Lucien also tucked this small bottle of venom into the satchel.
"Lumina, let's visit Mr. Newt during the day this time. Going at night before really disturbed his rest."
He hung the satchel around Lumina's neck and instructed it.
"Okay, Master, I will remember to say hello to Mr. Newt and Ms. Tina."
Lucien nodded, then added:
"You can chat more with Mr. Newt, just tell him about your hobbies and habits. It's fine, he should be very curious about these things and will keep your secrets."
"Of course, provided he's willing to chat."
"Understood, Master. I could'see' last time that Mr. Newt is also a good person, a very good person!"
Lucien smiled slightly. Lumina could sense goodwill and malice in living beings.
It was no surprise to him that Newt received Lumina's 'good person' card.
A Hufflepuff, a person who repeatedly helped Dumbledore disrupt Grindelwald's plans, a person who dedicated his entire life to magical creatures – of course, he was a good person.
"Master, shall I go now?"
"Can you leave here directly?"
"Yes, it just feels like there's an extra layer of obstruction here, as if the space has been partially separated, but I can still go."
Lumina's Apparition was indeed different. It was more like directly merging with space, rather than simply moving through it.
If the Apparition used by Wizards was like a fish swimming quickly in water, then Lumina was transforming itself into water.
More natural, more rapid.
Lucien stroked Lumina's forehead,
"Hmm, very impressive. By the way, are you still unable to confine a space and prevent other creatures from Apparating?"
"Not yet, Master. That's probably an ability I'll only master when I'm nearing maturity."
It seemed that was a deeper application of space, but there was no rush. He didn't urgently need that anti-Apparition ability right now.
Moreover, Lumina was in its growth period, its growth rate was the fastest, and its strength progressed the most significantly.
Perhaps in a few months, it would be able to.
After Lumina left using Apparition.
Lucien looked at the empty space.
"Let's start building a house."
He took out a small cloth bag and untied its opening.
Under the pull of magic, huge stones and trees flew out from it.
"These stones dug from the Forbidden Forest and trees cut down can finally be put to use."
Lucien waved his wand. The huge stones were either cut into neat squares or carved into cylinders.
The wood automatically transformed into planks or strips, and then began to combine themselves.
With a slight flick of his wrist, stone bricks were neatly stacked into a foundation, and wooden beams and pillars autonomously fit together with crisp crackling sounds.
After the foundation was built, Transfiguration was continuously cast.
Window frames curved into green bronze decorations, and blue tiles covered the roof like shedding scales.
The entire cottage, from start to finish, took only a few hundred heartbeats.
Lucien lightly tapped his wand, and a bell sprouted on the door, ringing its final chime.
Looking at the silver-black wand in his hand, Lucien couldn't help but sigh.
magic was truly convenient.
This kind of project that would take Muggles weeks or even months was completed by him alone in a few minutes.
Building a small house was enough for now. He would build some simple laboratories when he had time.
As for raising magical creatures, cultivating magical plants, and more complex and dangerous testing grounds, it was better to make them into separate Undetectable Extension Charm containers.
This would make it convenient to carry them around, easy to escape in time, and if damaged, it wouldn't cause too much impact.
After all, this was just a place to rest and sleep.
Lucien glanced at the edge of the empty space, where two starry blue curtains hung quietly in mid-air.
Walking towards the floating curtains, Lucien pulled them open.
He saw Terry in the dormitory, tidying up his things, preparing for class.
"Good morning."
