Damian woke first, unable to withstand the sunrays streaming in through the window. His body registered the ache before his mind caught up. The pain from the beatdown he got from Caleb still lingered, but the pain felt distant compared to the memory of everything that had happened last night.
For a long moment, Damian didn't move. He stared at the wall opposite the bed, still unsure if it was real. Was he really lying in bed with Zayn Hale? Had last night really even happened? Damian closed his eyes, squeezed them tight, and waited for the dream to dissolve.
It didn't.
