Chapter 35 - Tony VS Hank

Hammer Industries, a crude imitation of Stark Industries.

Justin Hammer, a crude imitation of Tony Stark.

At this moment, he was spouting nonsense in the Hammer Industries exhibition hall at the Expo.

"Ladies and gentlemen, for too long, our country has sent brave soldiers into dangerous battles."

"Then, Iron Man appeared. We thought we would no longer lose lives. But now, we have the new face of the U.S. Military, Hammer Industries' Iron Soldiers!"

As thunderous applause erupted, rows of Iron Soldiers rose from the lift platforms.

Elsewhere, Ivan, who was looking down at his phone, saw the images transmitted through the Iron Soldiers.

He looked up and handed his phone to Hank, smiling. "Hank, the opportunity has arrived."

Hank frowned, not quite understanding what opportunity Ivan was referring to.

He reached out and took it.

The Expo had become a ruin, with Tony trying his best to stop the Iron Soldiers.

In the footage, he was maneuvering amidst a group of Iron Soldiers. Occasionally, when he couldn't avoid an attack, an energy shield would appear on his body, easily blocking it.

His right hand wielded a mechanical energy cannon, and his left hand, a small portal.

Every strike accurately hit the energy reactor in the Iron Soldier's chest.

"I heard that quite a few people went to this Expo." Ivan said with a half-smile.

"Do you think Stark will protect them, or save himself?"

Ivan looked towards the "Whiplash Mech."

"To defeat Stark, those Iron Man Suits alone aren't enough. It has to be you."

No sooner had he finished speaking than the Whiplash Mech, originally about five meters tall, rapidly expanded under the effect of Pym Particles. It grew to a height of approximately 120 meters.

"Go, Hank…"

Bang!

A faint explosion sound came from Ivan's chest.

Ivan didn't finish his sentence. He clutched his chest, fell to the ground, and died.

"I'm sorry, Ivan. I don't believe you would let Stark go if you had the chance to kill him."

Hank coldly glanced at Ivan's corpse and headed towards the Whiplash Mech's cockpit.

He hadn't visited Ivan all this time for nothing. He could control the mech in battle by himself.

Boom!

The mech ascended, accompanied by a huge roar and strong winds, flying towards the Expo.

...

'Hmm, it's here.'

Standing in a corner of the Expo, Lucas, who was controlling the situation, looked up in the direction of the mech, his eyes gleaming.

One hundred and twenty meters?

It's decided.

After this battle, you will be my mount.

From now on, I'll call you the Lucas Mech.

With another wave of his hand, Lucas saved another person.

It wasn't Lucas shedding crocodile tears, letting the Iron Soldiers wreak havoc while simultaneously saving people.

He could see into people's souls and discern good from evil. Those who shouldn't die, couldn't die in front of him.

Mephisto wouldn't be able to do anything either.

Tony could testify to that.

Under his control, although the site had been reduced to ruins, the number of deaths and injuries was not high.

Crack!

Accompanied by a sonic boom, the Whiplash Mech punched Tony in the back.

A sneak attack!

If it had been Ivan, facing such a good opportunity, he would have probably unleashed several super-large missiles and energy cannons.

But Hank was different, his goal was not to directly kill Tony.

Boom!

Tony plummeted towards the ground. Just as he was about to hit the ground, a portal to the sky opened.

Tony reacted in time, gaining time to dissipate the force. He didn't directly hit the ground, and his suit was not severely damaged.

Turning his head, Tony saw the gigantic mech and couldn't help but be stunned.

Pym Particles?

"Jarvis, scan the mech in front of me. Find its energy core or cockpit."

"Yes, sir."

Facing the giant mech, Tony chose to fight evasively, focusing on dodging and never engaging in direct confrontation.

Inside the mech's cockpit, Hank was somewhat agitated.

His mech's power, speed, size, hardness, firepower, and energy output all surpassed Tony's suit.

But Tony had portals. And they were portals he used with extreme proficiency.

Several times, because he couldn't retract his force in time, Tony used a portal to cut off a part of the mech. Fortunately, the mech was large enough and had backup circuits, so its operation wasn't affected.

In fact, Tony's portals still had a slight delay, which would expose flaws in close-quarters combat.

It's just that Hank's delay was even higher. After all, he was older, and his reaction speed had declined. Moreover, Hank's proficiency in piloting the mech and his ruthlessness were insufficient.

At least, far inferior to Ivan.

Ivan, piloting the mech, wouldn't be so easily toyed with by Tony's portals.

If Tony discovered something was wrong and wanted to open a portal to escape, Ivan would definitely threaten Tony with the other people in the Expo. He would punch towards the Expo survivors, to see how Tony would choose.

After a long struggle, Tony found an opportunity to get close to the Mech.

He flew along the mech until he reached the cockpit.

A portal, about four meters high and two meters wide, opened.

Tony pushed the portal, cutting open the mech's cockpit and teleporting Hank, who was inside, into the air.

"Enjoy your slow freefall."

"Hank, you've lost again. Give up the fight. If you surrender, I can get you a good lawyer to try and reduce your sentence by a few years."

With victory in hand, Tony began to use his venomous tongue.

"Oh, I forgot. You're old. Even with a few years off, you wouldn't get out."

Facing Tony's taunts, Hank remained silent.

Even in despair, he wouldn't give up.

At this point, Tony had a headache. He didn't know how many Pym Particles Hank still had and didn't dare to approach him to disarm him.

"Hank, take off your suit and hand over all Pym Particles. Otherwise…"

Tony held his hand out, energy gathering in his palm.

He locked onto Hank, who was periodically passing through the portal in freefall, his killing intent palpable.

Lucas, watching from the side, was getting a headache.

How was Hank controlling the mech? Did he even know how to play?

Tony had won like this.

In Lucas's plan, Tony was supposed to be defeated and captured.

Hank would teleport Tony to the Quantum Realm. Then he would go to rescue him and fight Mephisto.

However, after being hit by a sneak attack, Tony engaged in evasive combat, gaining control of the situation. Then, he seized an opportunity to break open the cockpit and subdue Hank.

Lucas was very frustrated.

Hank made frequent blunders, fell into a disadvantage, and retreated steadily.

The Whiplash Mech, whose cockpit had been ripped out and was standing motionless, having lost control, quietly extended its muzzle and fired a special bullet—Pym Particles.

As the bullet approached, Tony reacted and was about to dodge. But the next instant, the bullet accelerated.
