Bai Xinyue spoke with her head bowed, guilt clouding her features; clearly, she felt very bad about suddenly threatening to kill him out of nowhere after Huang Shi did not give off any signs at all that he was a threat to her life.

Bai Xinyue stared up at him in shock, surprised that he told her one of his secrets. Clearly, after their whole debacle of a conversation, she didn't expect Huang Shi to talk about himself any more than necessary.
Why did he tell me? Does he trust me that much? Why? We just met!
Bai Xinyue felt her heart beating a bit faster, causing her emotions to run rampant for a few seconds before being forcefully returned to a state of calm; however, this time there was a hint of confusion in her eyes.
