The community center buzzed with activity.
Everyone had dreamed the same message — proof that the warning was real, that it came from somewhere inside the collective memory of the violet world.
Aiko stood at the front of the room, whiteboard behind her covered in plans.
"They want us to choose. Come willingly or be taken. But those aren't the only options."
She drew a circle.
"We choose a third option. We prepare. We protect ourselves. We make it clear that we're not subjects, not weapons — we're people."
Murmurs of agreement.
Kenji — the older brother — raised his hand. "How do we fight them? They have technology we don't understand."
Haru stepped forward.
"We don't need to understand it. We just need to survive it."
He looked around the room.
"In the violet world, I learned that the strongest weapon isn't imagination. It's understanding. Knowing what someone wants, why they want it, and choosing your response instead of reacting."
He paused.
"The organization wants us because they think we're valuable. They think we're the key to controlling the syndrome. But the syndrome is gone — or mostly gone. We're just people now. And people can't be controlled if they refuse."
Aiko nodded slowly.
"So we refuse. Together."
"Together," the room echoed.
Kenji — Joceka — stood beside Haru, silent but solid.
For the first time since waking, Haru felt something like hope — not fragile, not desperate, but steady.
They had each other.
They had this.
And that was enough to fight for.
