Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Future Haru – The Gate and the Glitch

Scene One: The Glitch in the Fantasy World

Haru was walking through the fantasy world, the air calm, the violet sky stretching endlessly above him.

Suddenly—

A cracking sound echoed in the distance, like glass shattering.

The ground beneath his feet trembled. In the air itself, a small glowing rift appeared—

a tear in reality.

The gate shimmered with deep purple light, and from within it, an intense white glow began to spill out.

Haru froze. He knew instantly—

This was no ordinary gate.

It was a future gate.

Just like his prophetic dreams…

but this time, it stood open before his eyes.

A figure stepped out.

He looked exactly like Haru.

Only older.

His eyes were sharp, hollowed by exhaustion. Fine lines of stress marked his face. He wore all black, and in his hand was a strange device—something like a control watch.

Haru's voice trembled.

"Are you… me? From the future?"

The older Haru stared at him coldly and replied in a low, heavy voice:

"That doesn't matter.

Give me Joceka."

Scene Two: The First Conversation

Haru stood stunned.

"Why do you want Joceka?"

Future Haru stepped closer, madness flickering faintly in his eyes.

"Give me Joceka.

My life collapsed after I erased my memories of him.

The syndrome made me forget him. I thought my life would be better without him, but…"

His voice cracked.

"I missed him.

More than anything.

Please… give me Joceka."

Haru shook his head slowly.

"Why should I? And how can I even trust you?"

Suddenly, Future Haru screamed, his voice filled with desperation and insanity:

"GIVE ME JOCEKA!"

Scene Three: The Battle Between Present and Future

The battle erupted violently.

Future Haru activated the device in his hand, unleashing waves of black energy. Each strike distorted the fantasy world itself.

With every attack, reality shifted:

The ground turned to ice.

The sky flipped upside down.

Time slowed and twisted around Present Haru.

Haru defended himself, gripping his axe, imagining a violet barrier around him.

"Listen to me!" Haru shouted while blocking an attack.

"You're me! Why are we fighting?!"

Future Haru roared as he attacked again:

"Because you still don't understand!

Joceka is the only thing that can give me my life back!"

The fight raged on. The scenery warped violently—

a forest, then open skies, then the ruins of a deserted city, all flashing by in seconds.

Present Haru was stronger.

Because Joceka was still with him.

With a final, decisive strike, Haru slammed his axe down, sending Future Haru crashing to the ground.

Scene Four: The Farewell

Future Haru lay there, defeated, staring up at his younger self with sorrowful eyes.

"Please… Haru…

Don't forget him."

His body began to dissolve, turning into violet smoke. He was pulled back into the gate he came from—

And vanished.

Scene Five: Joceka's Glitch

Suddenly, Joceka—who had been standing beside Haru—began to tremble.

His green eyes faded.

He looked at Haru with confusion.

"Who… are you?"

Haru froze.

"I'm Haru! What do you mean?!"

Joceka shook his head slowly.

"I don't know… who I am.

And why are you here?"

Scene Six: Joceka Attacks Haru

Without warning, Joceka attacked.

Violent green energy surged from his hands. Haru blocked desperately with his axe—but he never struck back.

"Joceka! Why are you doing this? What happened to you?!"

Joceka shouted as he attacked:

"WHO ARE YOU?! WHY ARE YOU HERE?!"

Haru screamed while deflecting another blow:

"I'm Haru! You forgot me?! I'm your friend!"

Joceka hesitated for a moment—

Then attacked again.

Haru kept defending, his voice breaking as he pleaded:

"Do you remember fighting together?

Do you remember helping me accept myself?

You are Joceka…

You are my hope!"

Scene Seven: A Moment of Calm

Suddenly, Joceka stopped.

He stood still, staring at Haru with confused eyes.

"I… feel like you're telling the truth.

I… know you."

Haru lowered his axe and smiled softly.

"Yes. You are.

And I'll remind you who you are—

and who I am."

Scene Eight: Small Adventures and Laughter

Haru and Joceka began walking together through the fantasy world.

Strange, lighthearted moments followed.

Joceka frowned and asked seriously:

"What… did I like to eat the most?"

Haru laughed.

"Purple sweets."

Joceka tried to summon one from the air—

but instead created a small fireball.

They ran away laughing.

Another time, Joceka tried to fly—

shot upward uncontrollably—

and crashed straight into Haru.

"Sorry… I forgot how to control it," Joceka said awkwardly.

"It's fine," Haru laughed. "I used to fall a lot too."

With every laugh, every shared moment, fragments of memory returned.

Scene Nine: Full Remembrance

Finally, Joceka stopped in front of Haru.

His green eyes shone brightly once more.

"I remember.

I am Joceka.

And you… are Haru.

My friend.

I'm… sorry I forgot you."

Haru smiled, tears of relief in his eyes.

"It doesn't matter. What matters is that you're back."

Joceka looked around.

"This… is the fantasy world.

I understand it now."

Haru nodded.

"Yes.

And we'll continue together."

End of Chapter 14

(In the distance, new sounds echoed…

and the journey was far from over.)
