Beta stared at him coldly. "In this situation, how do you think you're supposed to turn this around?"
"I don't know," Judai Yuki said honestly.
Beta blinked. "?"
"That's exactly why it's fun." Judai Yuki raised his right hand in a drawing pose, his face full of excitement. "I don't know what I'll draw, but I can feel it. This draw might change the world. Isn't that exciting?"
Beta fell silent. He could not understand a word of that.
"Haha, if you don't get it, then let me show you. My Turn! Draw!"
Judai Yuki immediately played the card he had drawn. "Spell Card Graceful Charity. I draw three cards from my Deck, then discard two to the Graveyard."
"Useless." Beta gave a dismissive snort. "No matter what Monsters you draw, you can't keep them in your hand."
Judai Yuki sent two cards from his hand to the Graveyard. Then he said, "And now I activate Fifth Hope! I return five cards with Elemental HERO in their names from my Graveyard to the Deck and shuffle, then draw two cards."
"If I have no other cards in my hand or on my field, I draw three cards instead! I shuffle the Elemental HERO cards Elemental HERO Bladedge, Elemental HERO Wildheart, Elemental HERO Avian, Elemental HERO Burstinatrix, and the Elemental HERO Bubbleman I just discarded back into the Deck!" The five Monsters turned into golden light and flew back into his Deck one after another.
"I told you, drawing more is pointless." Beta shook his head. "Even if you recover those Monsters, the moment you draw them again, they'll just be Destroyed... hm!?"
His eyes landed on one of the cards Judai Yuki had chosen to shuffle back, and he suddenly seemed to realize something.
"Right. Deck Devastation Virus only Destroys monsters with 1500 or less ATK in your hand over the next three turns. If you draw a high-ATK High-Level Monster, it can't be Destroyed."
"So your goal is..." He immediately thought of Elemental HERO Bladedge, the 2600 ATK high-level Hero that had just been shuffled back in among the other Heros. "You still have Elemental HERO Necroshade in your Graveyard, the one that got sent there by the death virus. If I remember right, that card's effect is..."
"Oh, you figured it out?" Judai Yuki smiled. "That's right. While Elemental HERO Necroshade is in the Graveyard, once only, I don't need a Tribute to Summon a Elemental HERO High-Level Monster."
"But there's only one High-Level Monster in your entire Deck, and that's the Elemental HERO Bladedge you just shuffled back," Beta said in a low voice. "For this combo to work, you need to draw that one exact High-Level Monster."
"And even if you do Summon Elemental HERO Bladedge, its ATK is still 100 lower than Darkstorm Dragon. So you'd also need to draw a card that can boost its ATK..."
"Hahaha, thinking that far ahead takes all the fun out of it." Judai Yuki grinned. "How I actually play it depends on what I draw, right?"
Beta said nothing. This guy's whole attitude toward a Duel was clearly wrong.
"All right, then I'm drawing. Since I have no other cards in my hand or on my field, I use Fifth Hope to draw three cards from my Deck." (ANIME EFFECT)

Judai Yuki drew three cards in one smooth motion. Beta stared at him without blinking.
Be reasonable. The Deck is still that thick, and only one key card was shuffled back in. If he can just casually pull it like that, then this is ridiculous.
"By the effect of Elemental HERO Necroshade in my Graveyard!" Judai Yuki shouted. "I Normal Summon Elemental HERO Bladedge without Tribute!"

The metal Hero shot out with engine flames bursting behind its golden body, spun through the air, and landed in front of Judai Yuki with a heavy crash.

Elemental HERO Bladedge's ATK was lower than Darkstorm Dragon's, but only by 100. And with only 350 Life Points left, if this Jellyfish Hair had happened to draw any card that could raise ATK by even 500, he would be finished.

Good thing I was still one step ahead.
"Then from my hand, I activate Miracle Fusion!" Judai Yuki said with a smile.
"What?"
The smile froze on Beta's face. Miracle Fusion?
"This card lets my Heros Fusion Summon from the Graveyard," Judai Yuki said. "By banishing the required cards for an Elemental HERO Fusion Monster from my field and Graveyard, I can perform a Fusion Summon!"
He paused for a moment and smiled. "But I'm also using this card in my Graveyard as a substitute for one of the Fusion Materials."
He pulled a Monster card from his Graveyard. "The other Monster I discarded with Graceful Charity, The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion. This card can be used as a substitute for one Fusion Material."
"So I'll use The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion to replace Elemental HERO Flame Wingman, and Polymerization it with Elemental HERO Sparkman in my Graveyard! Appear in shining light!"
The hex-sealed creature transformed into the shape of Elemental HERO Flame Wingman, then merged with Elemental HERO Sparkman inside a vortex of light. A burst of radiance exploded, and an Elemental HERO wrapped in holy light and clad in what looked like high-tech armor appeared from the shining current.
"Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman, Summon!"

"And now, Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman's ATK rises by 300 for each Elemental HERO in my Graveyard," Judai Yuki said with a smile. "Right now, I still have Elemental HERO Necroshade and Elemental HERO Bladedge there, so it gains 600 ATK!"

"3100 ATK!?" Beta cried out in shock.

Beta said nothing. So I would need several more lives to survive this?
"Battle!" Judai Yuki shouted. "Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman, attack Darkstorm Dragon!"
Its metal wings shone with holy light, and that light gathered into flames. Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman brought its palms together before its chest, and a brilliant beam burst forth, tearing through Darkstorm Dragon and roaring onward through Beta's body.
Beta was blasted into the air and sent spinning off the cliff in the storm. Even at the very end, his eyes were still filled with anger and refusal.
That look in his eyes seemed to say only one thing.
