Rest day over.
Cassius returned to the Thor crew's soundstage in Los Angeles for the final reshoots.
Walking onto the set.
A tall figure rushed over like a whirlwind and gave him a solid bear hug, squeezing so hard Cassius almost lost his breath.
"Bro! My good brother! You're finally here!"
Chris's voice rang out.
Cassius managed to push him away a little.
Chris gripped his arms tightly and lowered his voice.
"Mjolnir is okay, right? You didn't tell anyone?"
Seeing his nervous demeanor, and recalling the special role the hammer played in the bedroom last night, Cassius actually felt a rare pang of guilt himself.
He cleared his throat, tried to maintain a calm facial expression, and also lowered his voice.
"Relax, it's very safe with me!"
Hearing this, Chris breathed a sigh of relief, his body seemingly losing its bones as he nearly slumped onto Cassius.
"Thank God! Thank you, brother! You're truly my lifesaver! Once this blows over, I'll buy you dinner for a month!"
"Forget dinner. Just don't stuff surprises like that in my luggage next time!"
Cassius helplessly propped him up.
At this moment, the favorability score above Chris's head was a dazzling [80].
"Definitely, definitely! Won't happen again!"
Chris patted his chest in promise, his sunny smile returning to his face.
"Let's go, let's go, the director is calling us. Just a few last shots, and then we're completely free!"
Shoulder to shoulder, they walked toward the shooting area.
The subsequent reshoots went very smoothly.
Mainly correcting imperfect shots from previous filming and adding some close-ups and reaction shots.
After the location shoot in New Mexico and the continuous absorption of attributes on this high-end set during this period.
Cassius now had 3 attributes leveled up to Level 2, and the others were on the verge of upgrading!
This made Cassius's performance even more relaxed and confident.
Many shots were done in one or two takes. Even the strict Director Branagh nodded frequently.
During a reshoot of a scene where Fandral is in an Earth cafe, showing curiosity yet feigned disdain for human electronic devices.
Cassius only needed to adjust his emotions slightly, and the feeling of an Asgardian warrior out of place in a strange environment naturally flowed out.
When he completed a subtle movement of picking up a coffee cup and putting it down with disdain, a gray attribute orb dropped!
[Micro-expression +1]
Absorb!
Cassius felt a barrier inside him shatter.
[Expression Attribute Leveled Up, Expression Lv2 (2/400)]
Leveled up!
Another attribute reached Level 2!
Cassius felt his facial control improve further!
Especially his mastery over fine facial muscle adjustments and the natural flow of emotions became stronger.
Watching the monitor, Director Branagh couldn't help saying to Casting Director Sarah Finn next to him:
"Cass improves very fast. He barely needs direction now; he can find the most precise way to express it himself."
Sarah Finn agreed. "His learning ability and absorption speed are very fast!"
Cassius didn't hear the directors' private comments, but he could feel the smoothness in his performance.
Taking advantage of a break, he checked his attribute panel again:
[Acting Attribute Panel]
Dialogue: Lv1 (185/200)
Body Language: Lv2 (89/400)
Expression: Lv2 (15/400)
Gaze: Lv2 (78/400)
Emotion: Lv1 (192/200)
Rhythm: Lv1 (176/200)
Aura: Lv2 (45/400)
...
Aside from the newly upgraded [Expression] attribute, [Dialogue], [Emotion], and [Rhythm] were all at the peak of Level 1, ready to break through to Level 2 at any moment.
Although [Body Language] and [Gaze] were still Level 2, their experience bars had risen significantly.
After the baptism of the Thor crew, his overall strength had taken a solid step up.
Cassius looked forward to the moment when all attributes reached Level 2!
Wonder if it would unlock new abilities?
During breaks, he didn't miss any chance to pick up attributes.
Although the big stars weren't as concentrated during the reshoot phase, the attribute orbs dropped by veteran supporting actors and seasoned performers were still high quality.
He absorbed a blue [Scholarly Dialogue +3] from a British actor playing an old Earth professor.
And picked up a green [Comedic Timing Pause +2] from a supporting actor responsible for comic relief.
Chris, seeing him quietly observing others in the corner whenever he was free, couldn't help being curious.
"Hey, Cass, why do you always stare at people? Are you stealing techniques?"
Cassius kept a straight face. "Learning makes one progress!"
Chris scratched his head. "Makes sense, but I think you're already amazing enough!"
He now viewed Cassius through a "lifesaver" filter.
The last day of filming went exceptionally smoothly.
"That's a wrap for Cass!"
Director Branagh shouted, and applause erupted on set.
Cassius felt emotional.
From the uncertainty of the initial audition, to the drama with Joshua Dallas, and then the immersive learning and attribute accumulation on set, the role of Fandral spanned an important rising period in his career.
Chris was the first to rush up and hug him. "Congrats on wrapping, brother! Asgard will miss you!"
He even got a signed photo of himself as a wrap gift for Cassius!
Written boldly on it: To my best brother Cassius.
Below was Chris's autograph!
Cassius helplessly accepted it from the smug-looking Chris.
Jaimie Alexander, Tadanobu Asano, and others also came over to hug and high-five him.
"Pleasure working with you!"
Natalie Portman nodded to him with a smile, her favorability stable at [55].
Director Branagh also walked over and shook Cassius's hand firmly.
"Cass, your Fandral exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to working together again!"
"Thank you, Director. It was my honor!"
Cassius thanked him sincerely.
He looked up; Director Branagh's favorability had reached [70].
It seemed the director was very satisfied with his performance during this time!
Walking out of the soundstage, the evening sun in Los Angeles was still a bit glaring.
Cassius looked back at the place where he had spent months, feeling fulfilled.
Not only did he successfully complete his Marvel debut and greatly increase his skills, but his bank account was also healthier!
The pay for this role was a full 30,000 dollars!
Although less than the previous 15,000 salary plus the 100,000 bonus!
The nature was completely different!
Last time was basically a friendship price and a gratitude bonus, but this time Cassius earned this salary entirely on his own ability!
He took out his phone and sent a message to Kristen:
"Wrapped!"
...
Beverly Hills.
Two days after wrapping, Cassius slept like the dead, finally letting his body relax completely!
Kristen went to film!
No one else was home. Cassius, wearing pajamas, threw himself on the sofa, enjoying the rare peace and quiet!
Rob's phone call came in urgently.
"Cass! Big opportunity!"
Rob's voice was excited.
"CBS sent over a script. Sitcom 2 Broke Girls! The role is important—the diner owner! Lots of screen time, and it's a series regular! If you play this well, your national recognition will shoot up!"
Sitcom?
Diner owner?
Cassius's interest was piqued.
This was indeed a good opportunity!
Sitcoms had a broad audience. If he could play a standout character, he could quickly build fame.
He now had the thriller foundation from Insidious and the Marvel resume from Thor. If he could add a popular comedy role, his range would be much wider.
