Chapter 6 - The Firebound Pact

As Hwon left to kill all the hounds he could find, the dragon suddenly came out of the lake, spreading its wings and letting out a loud roar. Its giant wings began to flap as its body rose from the ground, and it flew into the sky, where it was suddenly confronted by two dragons who seemed to have noticed its weakened state and started charging up their flame breath. Flames hotter than magma shot toward the dragon.

The dragon used its wing to block the attack, leaving it partially burned, but it could still fly. The other two dragons charged, ready to attack, but suddenly a laser beam shot one of the dragons down from the sky, striking one of the dragons and killing it instantly.

The remaining two looked toward the direction the beam had come from—and to their surprise, it was a Shingan. The Shingan was a humanoid-like giant creature with two pairs of horns—two on top of its head and two at each side of its jaw. Its body had a distinctive bent back, and spikes covered its entire body. A long, spiked tail extended from its lower back, twitching ominously. It had four eyes: three of normal size and one huge eye. Its mouth was located on its chest.

The huge eye on its head began to glow as it prepared another laser. The two dragons tried to flee, but the black dragon was struck dead. The red dragon flew with all its strength as the Shingan pursued it relentlessly. Eventually, the dragon managed to escape, but it knew its location was now compromised.

Realizing it was no longer safe to stay in the area, the red dragon decided to leave. Just as it was about to take off, Hwon returned — without thinking twice. The dragon saw Hwon, spread its wings, and flew off.

As the dragon flew away, a laser beam hit its wing, sending it crashing down. Luckily, they were already too far away for the Watcher to even bother chasing them. The dragon found an empty cave and decided to enter there to recover, carrying Hwon, who lost consciousness a while ago due to him screaming and shouting as the dragon held him when they crashed.

As they entered the cave, the dragon realized its form was too large, raising too much attention, and decided to transform into a smaller form. It then turned into the form of a little boy ranging from the age of 13–15, but he had an injury on his hands and shoulder. He had horns on his head, and you could still see his fangs, his eyes were red in color and a tail behind him. He moved his injured body into the cave where Hwon was and there he fainted after using the last of his strength.

Hwon woke up sweating a bucket. He checked his body to see if he was fine and confirmed that he was okay. As he breathed out a sigh of relief, he noticed blood stains on the floor, which immediately brought his attention to the injured boy next to him, seeing him lying in a pool of blood. Hwon quickly rushed over and began cleaning his wounds. Hwon's hands moved swiftly, cleaning the wound with a piece of cloth he had torn from his shirt earlier. The boy winced in pain but didn't make a sound. As Hwon worked, he couldn't help but notice the boy's unusual features – the horns on his head, the sharp fangs, and the tail that twitched occasionally. "What are you?" Hwon asked, his voice low and curious. The boy's eyes flickered open, and he looked at Hwon with a mix of pain and gratitude. "Dragon... I am a dragon," he whispered, his voice weak. Hwon's eyes widened in surprise, but he didn't stop cleaning the wound. "A dragon, huh? Well, you don't look like one now," he said, trying to keep the boy distracted. The boy managed a weak smile. "I can... change forms... It's a long story." Hwon nodded, his attention focused on the wound. "We'll get to the story later, okay? First, let's get you fixed up."

After cleaning his wound Hwon asked do you have a name, the boy said "I don't have one but thank you for helping me". Hwon replied with a smile "No worries I'm sure anybody else would have done the same" the boy thought to himself thinking " He really is a strange one first he gave me food even after I attacked him and now, he's cleaning my wounds, If I was in his position, I would have finished me off, because here its survival of the fittest". Hwon dressed his wounds finished and said to himself, "I think I'll give you a name," so Hwon went to a corner racking his brain for a suitable name. While Hwon was doing this, the boy thought to himself, "Since the day I first saw him, I thought he was nothing more than a weak little creature who dared to set foot in my territory, even till now he still looks weak, but there is something about him though I can't put my finger on it, but senses are telling me not to mess with him any further." Hwon, in the corner, was still thinking, pointed his finger up like he thought of something, but then put his finger back down after losing the thought, Then Hwon jumped on a thought, "I got one, how about Thrynn, sound nice?" The boy smiled and said, "Okay, why not?" Hwon nodded, pleased with the name. "Alright, Thrynn it is then," he said, helping the boy - now named Thrynn - to sit up.
