(Mira POV)
This room feels different. We just returned from a break, but the room already smells of broken things.
Eleanor is already seated when we step back in. She folds her hands over a leather folder and gives nothing away. HR, Legal, and Marcus are all seated. And then the door opens.
"Mr. Julian is here." He doesn't rush in. He walks in like a man who has nothing to prove. He has a tall, controlled, and clean presence. His gaze sweeps the room once, taking inventory before landing on Eleanor. Then briefly on Ethan. And finally on me.
It isn't a warm look. It isn't cold. It's steady.
Eleanor rises slightly in her chair.
"Mr. Julian, thank you for coming. We appreciate your cooperation in providing clarity regarding Miss Mira's tenure at Nexa Interiors."
Her tone is neutral, professional, and confident. She thinks she knows how this ends. Julian nods once.
"I'm always willing to clarify the truth."
