The giant, shiny city of Tower Zero was safe, but it was cold. It was full of politicians, rules, and tall stone walls. After Adonis had drawn a burning line in the ground and terrified the human army into leaving them alone, Nikki knew one thing for sure. A cold stone tower was no place to raise a little boy.
So, they packed their small bags, said goodbye to Silas and the other Warlords, and walked away from the city forever.
They traveled for hours, leaving the gray dust and the spooky ruins far behind them. Adonis carried them both. He held little Leo safely against his warm chest with one arm, and he carried Nikki gently in the other. His new, beautiful black-and-white armor shined in the bright sunlight as his powerful legs carried them faster than any car.
Slowly, the gray dirt turned into soft green grass. The dead trees turned into tall, wonderful, sweet-smelling pines.
They were going home.
