Mr. Jung So-man felt like the happiest man in the world on the 23rd of September 1999. It had rained heavily that day so the cloud was still roughed but he was beaming with smiles. After what seemed like a life threatening delivery had finally come to an end.
He looked at the two gifts of life that had been bestowed to him and he made a promise to do all it takes to give them the world because they had become his entire world. He took the hands of his wife and whispered thank you into her ears, she just smiled back as the stress and medication started taking over her and she drifted into sleep.

The next couple of years saw his twin girls grow into young girls. So-Hye was the outgoing and confident twin whine So-min was the quiet and timid twin always curled up in a corner reading a book. The father was always amazed at how different they both were even though they were identical twins
In school So-Hye was the popular one and So-min was basically invisible but an advantage of having So-Hye as a sister was that hat So-min was never bullied and anybody that tried to always had So-Hye to deal with and she always paid back in double folds. On the other hand So-min was always the top of her class and maintained a scholarship despite their being comfortable as the father sent them to a private school because of his love for them.
The other kids were way richer than them and they always taunt them about it and this made So-Hye.
One day she got home and queried their father why he had to make them go to a private school when their public school was just as good and the financial stress was taking a toll on him. He reminded her that they were his precious flowers and deserved only the best.
That night So-min went to So-Hye's room, she stood at the door for a very long time staring at So-Hye.
"If you have something to say, say it and leave my room" So-Hye said to her in a commanding tone
"I like our school" So-Min whispered
"What did you say?' So-Hye, asked rising from her bed to focus more on her sister.
"I like our school so please don't make Dad change us" So-min said in a firmer tone and walked out
"Wow so you do know how to talk, So-Hye shouted after her, "What's with that attitude, So-Hye whispered to herself and went back to lie down on the bed.

Kang Woo-Jin was the school heartrope the perfect lover boy and the richest in the school, his father owned one of the biggest companies so he was basically regarded as royalty. His nickname. Everyone loved him and everything was perfect about him except So-min always ranked first and he ranked second and even though he did not have a problem with it, his father always saw it as a flaw and picked on him but instead of hating So-min he was secretly in love with her because she made him feel like a human being. The problem was So-min was love blind and she could not read the multiple signals he kept sending her way so he mistook it for the fact that she was not interested in dating and decided to keep his crush one-sided.
So-Hye on the other hand was very fast with this things and as a result she noticed it and would always smile anything Woo-jin has a failed attempt in trying to woo her sister. So-Hye was into girls and she had been out about it since middle school so everyone pretty much knew. As far as she knew her sister was into boys just too slow to ever be in a relationship. If only she would remove her nose from a book and look at who was in front of her. "Poor boy" she shook her head and walked away from yet another failed attempt to woo her sister.
This time Woo-Jin had been strategic
"There is this new library that opened up at the heart of the city and I heard reading there is really cozy, do you want to check it out with me this weekend?" He asked So-min
She stared at him for a moment as though she was contemplating the idea and she said no, "I prefer to read in my room. it's more cozy there, and people might get the wrong idea if they see the two of us together on a weekend"
By People she meant the self proclaimed Queen bee, Go Min-she. Her father was the second richest parent at the school so she wears the most expensive and fanciest items to school, she had called dibs on Woo-jin as she said they were the perfect match due to their status and she was the only one who though this way but every girl thought it wise to avoid him so as to avoid issues with her because anyone who crossed her always ended up dropping out of the school, everyone except So-Hye.

Their final year exams were fast approaching and everyone was busy preparing for their final senior exams. So-min was studying for medicine and So-Hye finally decided to study English as she dreamt of living her country and relocating to America but that was not what she told her dad, she said she loved the language and loved to teach people so her father was very impressed.
Their mother had been ill for quite some time and the illness had gotten worse but the father had been hiding it from them so as not to let it affect their preparations for the exams. They rarely saw more of their mom as they got back very late and spent the weekend preparing for the final exams.

On the day of the exams their father drove them to the venue, giving them advice and words of encouragement. He gave them hand warmers and promised to wait outside for them till their exam was done because he took a day off work and they both went inside
So-min spent her time properly writing exams her exams and crosschecking every answer before she marked it. Her sister stared at her for a while and then eventually proceeded to do what she did best use her birth day 23rd to thick 2 and 3 in the answer booklet and in no time she was done, she rested her head on the table and slept off.
"So-Hye wake up, we are done" So-Min woke her sister up as they wanted to collect the script for submission. So-Min looked at her sister's script and shook her head.
'What?" So-Hye asked being defensive
"Nothing, So-Min answered smiling as she went off
"What is it So-Hye asked looking concerned as she saw her dream of going abroad leaving her
"Nothing So-Min said and turned to look a So-Hye, seeing her distraught So-Hye was for the first time, she decided to clear her doubt. "I am just surprised how you ticked most of the right answers.
"Really?" So-Hye shouted in excitement
"Yes, now please let's hurry Dad is waiting
The bought rushed out hoping to get heir dad to take them out for rice cakes but when they got outside their dad was no where to be found.
