Chapter 1 - Awakening questions

The final bell rang across the school corridor as students poured out of their classrooms, laughing and shouting in excitement. Among them walked a quiet sixteen-year-old boy named Mohit, a ninth-grade student who felt strangely disconnected from everything around him. While others talked about games, exams, and weekend plans, Mohit stared blankly out of the classroom window, lost in his own thoughts.

Why does life feel so empty? he wondered. Is this really all the world has to offer?

The walk home felt longer than usual. Cars rushed past him, shop lights flickered, and people crowded the streets, yet none of it stirred his heart. A restless feeling lingered inside his chest, as if something invisible was calling out to him.

That night, Mohit opened his laptop and began searching endlessly. Ancient legends, unexplained energy fields, mysterious mountains, volcano zones, frozen lands — he read everything he could find. Some articles hinted at invisible forces hidden beneath the earth's surface. There was no proof, but the idea planted itself firmly in his mind.

Days passed, and his curiosity only grew stronger.

One weekend, Mohit traveled toward the outskirts of a nearby mountain range. The air felt different there — cooler, heavier, alive. He closed his eyes and stood still. A faint warmth flowed through his palms and slowly spread across his chest.

"It's not visible… but I can feel it," Mohit whispered.

His heartbeat quickened. Was this the hidden energy he had been searching for? He sat down on a flat stone and focused on his breathing, allowing the strange sensation to move freely within him. Gradually, his thoughts quieted, and a deep calm filled his mind.

A gentle warmth gathered inside his body, steady and comforting.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of gold and crimson, Mohit opened his eyes with renewed determination.

"This world hides more than it shows," he said softly. "If this energy truly exists… then I will uncover it."

Unknowingly, the first step of cultivation has begun
