Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11 Pranks and Payback

Chapter Eleven: Pranks and Payback

By the start of the third week, whispers about Adora's boldness had spread like wildfire. Some students admired her confidence; others, especially the soft, preppy girls, were clearly unsettled.

During break, Adora walked past a group of girls lounging near the lockers. One of them, tall with perfectly styled hair, sneered.

"So… you're the Nigerian girl?" she said. "We hear you think you're special."

Adora smiled politely, tilting her head. "Special? Maybe. But I am just being myself. Nothing more, nothing less."

The girls exchanged glances, smirking. One muttered under her breath, "She's so… loud."

Adora grinned, already sensing mischief. She let them go for now. Bold, brave, and unapologetically Adora.

Later, in the cafeteria, her drink had been switched with plain water—a clear prank. Adora took a slow sip, feigning surprise. "Ah, so someone wants to test me today," she said quietly to herself. "Small thing, no wahala."

She waited for the perfect moment. During free period, she noticed the same girls had left their shoes unattended outside the classroom. A sly grin spread across her face. With a quick flick, she tied the laces together—classic, harmless, but effective.

When the girls returned, they stumbled slightly over their own feet, whispering in confusion.

"What just happened?" one hissed.

Adora walked past calmly, flipping her hair back. "Sometimes, you get a taste of your own medicine," she said lightly, letting a small chuckle escape.

Even Mei, watching from the side, giggled quietly. "You really know how to handle them," she whispered.

Adora smirked. "This is how we do it in Nigeria. Bold, clever, and never backing down."

By the end of the day, Adora had cemented her reputation: she was fearless, witty, and impossible to intimidate—the Nigerian girl who would not be pushed around.
