Chapter 10 - "Mom, It’s Not What It Looks Like!"

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

So Akira rummaged through a drawer and pulled out a book about the Will of Fire.

Right on the cover, the editor's name was clearly printed: the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi.

The cover even featured a kindly smiling portrait of Sarutobi himself.

"Pfft. Disgusting."

Without a second thought, Akira fired an Amaterasu straight at the book.

In the next instant, pitch-black flames swallowed it whole. Moments later, it was reduced to ash.

Mm.

Not bad.

Kill, loot, destroy the evidence. A must-have skill for home and travel alike.

Burning one of the Third's brainwashing manuals put him in an inexplicably good mood.

Next, it was time to test the Rinnegan's abilities.

Akira fixed his gaze on a pillow resting on the bed not far away.

The next moment, the power of the six-tomoe Rinnegan activated.

Amenotejikara!

Whoosh.

Without a sound, Akira vanished from where he stood and reappeared beside the bed.

At the same time, the pillow that had been on the bed appeared where he had just been standing.

Within a certain range, he could freely swap the positions of any two objects. That was the ability of his six-tomoe Rinnegan.

The entire process was silent and instantaneous. There was no way to guard against it.

With this power, even facing Obito, he wouldn't feel the slightest fear.

With a thought, Akira pulled out everything he had previously obtained from multiple daily sign-ins, emptying his system inventory.

Flash.

A white glow flickered, and a large pile of items appeared before him.

Among them, the most eye-catching by far was a human-shaped doll.

Driven purely by scientific curiosity, Akira carefully examined it. He was absolutely not interested in this thing for any other reason.

Big enough. Realistic enough. The texture of the skin was impressively smooth. Aside from not being able to move, it was practically indistinguishable from a real person.

Of course, to be perfectly clear, Akira was just curious. He definitely didn't have any other thoughts.

And even if he did, with this seven-year-old body of his, he couldn't lift anything anyway. Looking was all he could do.

After half an hour of "research," he lost interest.

Next, he picked up two syringes from the pile, both filled with green liquid.

They were Marvel's Super Soldier Serum, the good stuff that could turn a person into a total powerhouse.

Holding the two vials, Akira thought for a moment and asked the system, "Hey, System. If I take both of these, will the effects stack?"

"Effects can stack. There are no side effects. You can also freely control your body size."

Let's go!

This was huge.

Akira's eyes lit up. As expected, system products were always top-tier.

Without hesitation, he downed both vials at once.

The serum transformed into pure energy and spread throughout his body.

In the next instant, his muscles bulged violently, tearing his clothes apart.

His height shot up from just over a meter to a full two meters, while thick black sludge oozed out of his pores.

His hair grew longer and thicker, cascading down past his thighs.

Of course, his underwear didn't rip.

After all, everyone knows that under the protection of the great cosmic censorship force, underwear is tougher than diamonds.

"Holy crap. This form… Super Saiyan Three?"

Staring at his reflection, Akira couldn't help but shout.

Aside from his hair still being black, he looked almost exactly like a Super Saiyan straight out of Dragon Ball.

Every inch of his body felt packed with explosive power.

If the Third Hokage were here right now, one punch would be enough to blast him into dust.

The only annoyance was the black gunk all over his body.

Akira immediately grabbed some tissues and wiped himself clean, feeling much better afterward.

He then tested his defense in this form, taking out a kunai and stabbing down with full force.

The result was simple. The kunai snapped, and he didn't even have a scratch.

"This level of physical defense is insane. Normal ninja attacks won't do anything to me anymore."

Akira admired his own muscles in amazement.

Just then, a voice came from outside the door. It was Uchiha Mikoto.

"Akira, Mom made you a fruit platter. I'm bringing it in, okay?"

Click.

The sound of the door latch sliding open.

Crap. I forgot to lock the door.

Akira's heart skipped a beat. There was no way he could let his mother see him like this.

He'd been completely absorbed in testing his new form and hadn't noticed anything outside the room. By the time Mikoto reached the door, he hadn't sensed a thing.

It was already too late to stop her verbally.

He immediately restrained his power.

Just before Mikoto pushed the door open, he reverted back to the appearance of a seven-year-old boy.

Creak.

The door opened.

"Mom, why didn't you knock before coming in?"

Akira frowned and spoke first, choosing to seize the initiative.

Mikoto didn't answer. It was as if she hadn't heard him at all.

Her eyes were wide, her face frozen in shock, and her trembling finger pointed at something.

"Ak… Akira! Can you tell me what that is?"

Following her finger, Akira turned his head and froze too.

Damn it. I forgot to put that thing away.

There on the bed lay the doll, quietly posed with its back arched and hips raised in a deeply suggestive position.

Why didn't I notice it was in such a misunderstanding-inducing pose earlier?

What do you do when your parents catch you at home with a doll like that?

Akira would like to say he was calm. Very calm.

If this had happened in his previous world, he'd already be preparing to move to another planet.

But this wasn't that world. This was the Naruto world, a place filled with all kinds of supernatural powers.

In the next instant, out of Mikoto's line of sight, his left eye transformed into a six-tomoe Rinnegan.

Amenotejikara!

The doll vanished from the bed, replaced by a fresh green leaf.

Akira had swapped the doll with a leaf from outside using his ability.

As soon as the swap was complete, the Rinnegan deactivated. From opening to closing, it took less than 0.1 seconds.

Who would have thought the Rinnegan's first real use would be for something like this?

Of course, he could've used an even simpler method.

For example, wiping Mikoto's memory directly with the Mangekyo Sharingan.

But using the Mangekyo on his own mother was something Akira would never do.

"Huh? Mom, are you talking about that thing?"

Akira looked at Mikoto with a confused expression, as if he genuinely didn't understand why she was so shocked.

"Where did it go? The doll that was on your bed just now?!"

Mikoto pointed at the spot where the doll had been kneeling.

This is bad. Really bad.

Akira was screaming internally.

"Akira, give Mom an explanation. You're still so young. You shouldn't be playing with things like that."

"Ah… forget it."

Mikoto shook her head helplessly and placed the fruit platter on the table.

"I won't scold you anymore. When Itachi gets back, I'll have him talk to you properly. You usually listen to your brother."

With a sigh, Mikoto left the room.

Akira wordlessly put on a fresh set of clothes. This house was not safe to stay in anymore.

His mother's look was more than he could handle.

And the doll needed to be retrieved immediately. He couldn't let someone else find it.

Just to be clear, it wasn't because he was attached to it or planning to use it later.

It was purely because if some random kid found it, that would be a terrible influence.

For the sake of the ninja world's children and their healthy development, he had to reclaim this source of evil.

Fortunately, when he stepped outside, the doll was lying quietly beneath a tree, untouched.

Whew.

Akira let out a sigh of relief and quickly stored it back in his system inventory.

Then he started thinking about what to do next.

Sitting around and waiting for the night of the clan massacre was not his style. He needed to prepare in advance.

And today just happened to be the day the clan was holding a meeting.

Maybe he could go there and try to convince them to prepare ahead of time.

If things went well, they might even be able to give Danzo a little surprise when the time came…

"..."
