Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

"I can keep this a secret for you," Amano Sora said with a faint smile, "but… there are still two weeks before U.A. High School officially begins. During that time, I'd like All Might to help guide me in developing my ultimate move."

Even as he said it casually, his eyes were serious.

All Might nearly spat blood.

"Develop… a special move?" he repeated in disbelief.

He had learned from experience that Sora's Quirk had awakened only recently. And yet here he was, already talking about ultimate techniques.

Meanwhile, All Might himself had spent years fumbling around before even figuring out how to properly use his own power.

Is this kid trying to kill me?

But after forcing those thoughts aside, All Might let out a hearty laugh.

"Haha! Of course! If you have questions, you can come to me anytime, young Amano!"

Sora subconsciously took two steps back.

It wasn't fear—he just didn't want to get sprayed with blood again.

Only then did he notice Midoriya Izuku standing a little distance away, awkwardly shifting his weight.

So you're hiding too, huh…

"That…" Midoriya hesitated, then gathered his courage. "Amano-san… are you also taking the U.A. entrance course?"

"Call me Sora," Sora said with a grin. "No need to be so formal."

Midoriya blinked.

He'd always thought this person felt familiar. Now he finally remembered.

"W-Wait—aren't you the one who ranked first in the entrance exam?!"

All Might blinked in surprise. "You didn't know? He's the one who defeated the Zero-Pointer alone."

Midoriya froze.

"Th-That… that was you?!"

Sora nodded calmly. "We'll be classmates soon. Let's get along."

Midoriya immediately bowed.

"P-Please take care of me!"

Sora chuckled. "You don't need to be that tense. But if you want to be a hero, you'll have to work on staying calm."

"I-I'm sorry!" Midoriya blurted out instinctively.

"…You apologized again."

"I'M SORRY!"

Sora covered his face.

All Might burst out laughing—then immediately coughed up blood.

"…Sir, please don't do that," Sora said helplessly.

Discussing the Speed Force

"Alright," All Might said after recovering, "let's talk. What problem are you running into?"

Sora nodded and explained everything.

"My Quirk boosts my speed—what I call the Speed Force. Right now, it multiplies my physical speed by about sixty times."

Midoriya's eyes widened in shock.

"Sixty times…?! That's terrifying!"

Sora continued calmly. "But the problem is control. I can run fast, think fast, react fast—but I can't turn that speed into effective techniques. Every move I imagine ends up failing."

He explained his failed ideas: vibration blades, shockwave kicks, rapid-fire punches.

All of them sounded impressive.

All of them failed.

After listening quietly, All Might finally spoke.

"Your problem isn't your power," he said slowly. "It's your mindset."

Sora looked up.

"You're trying to force your Quirk to imitate techniques that already exist in your imagination," All Might continued. "But real special moves aren't created that way."

He placed a hand over his chest.

"You first need to understand what your Quirk can do, and what it can't. Then you build on that. Not the other way around."

Sora froze.

The words hit harder than any punch.

"…So I've been trying to force reality to match my fantasies."

All Might nodded.

"You already have the power. What you lack is alignment."

Sora exhaled slowly.

Then, without hesitation, he bowed deeply.

"Thank you. I understand now."

All Might blinked.

"That… that's it?"

Sora straightened. "Yes. That was the guidance I needed."

Midoriya stared blankly.

"T-That counted as guidance?"

Sora sighed. "Guidance isn't always about getting beaten half to death."

All Might suddenly stiffened.

A certain traumatic memory flashed through his mind.

"…Ah."

He quietly wiped cold sweat from his brow.

"Perhaps… you're right."

A New Beginning

The moonlight shimmered across the sea.

Three figures stood together in silence.

Sora felt something shift inside him.

He finally understood.

His power wasn't meant to mimic others.

It was meant to evolve naturally.

And now—he finally knew how to begin.
