The moment this crowd appeared, the relaxed atmosphere shattered. Ethan, Qin Yingying, and Ye Kui immediately stood up, expressions turning wary.
Before coming to the International Academy Exchange, Elder Gao Bing had warned them clearly:
Stay away from the western academies.
And now, those very people had come knocking—led by someone who spoke with open arrogance.
"You Donghuang brat," a cold snort rang out.
"Do you remember me?"
Yago from Oxford Academy stepped forward, staring at Ethan with obvious resentment.
Ethan looked at him calmly.
"What?"
"The three of you couldn't beat me, so now you brought an entire mob?"
Yago laughed cruelly.
"So what if I did?"
"Hand over that shiny Gligar. Now."
With Silius backing him, Yago already saw Ethan as meat on a chopping board.
If there weren't so many people present, he would've loved to tear Ethan apart himself.
After all—Ethan had forced him to waste ten million Sky Eagle credits.
Ethan didn't even glance at him.
Instead, his eyes shifted to Silius.
"So you're the boss here?"
"Say it. What do you want?"
Silius studied Ethan carefully, a trace of surprise flashing through his eyes.
He had grown up in the Morgan family—calmness was second nature to him.
But Ethan's composure… felt different.
For a brief moment, Silius wondered if this Donghuang student had some hidden backing.
But he dismissed the thought almost instantly.
Donghuang's system? Here?
What backing could he possibly have?
And even if Ethan had strong Pokémon—
Could they really compare to his newly advanced Kommo-o?
Silius smiled faintly.
"Our demands are simple."
"Hand over all the treasures you obtained on Sea Cliff Island."
"If you do, we'll let you live."
"Otherwise—"
With his words, the western students behind him released their Pokémon.
In an instant, more than a hundred Pokémon filled the beach.
The weakest were at elite level.
The strongest had reached mid-commander tier.
If they attacked together, Ethan's group would be torn apart without question.
Qin Yingying's face went pale.
Ye Kui clenched her fists.
But Ethan… laughed softly.
"I won't deny it—you have numbers."
"But are you sure this bunch of rabble can threaten me?"
"Who are you calling rabble?!"
A western student roared in fury.
"Golem—Rock Tomb!"
Boulders rose into the air and came crashing toward Ethan.
Before Ethan could even speak—
"En-di!"
The young Entei let out a sharp cry.
Extrasensory.
BOOM!
Golem's mind blanked for a split second.
The rocks abruptly changed direction—
And smashed down around their own trainer instead.
Four deafening crashes.
The student collapsed on the spot, legs turning to jelly.
Silence fell.
Everyone stared at the small Entei in disbelief.
A legendary Pokémon… still in its juvenile form.
And yet—
It had casually seized control of an elite Pokémon's attack.
"How terrifying…"
"What kind of monster did this Donghuang guy raise?"
"Damn it—kill him! He doesn't deserve this!"
Fear spread.
Greed burned brighter.
Silius's smile widened.
"Impressive, Donghuang student."
"But unfortunately—"
"That Entei will soon be mine."
He snapped open a Poké Ball.
A heavily armored dragon-like Pokémon appeared, radiating oppressive power.
"Gaoooo!"
"My partner—Kommo-o."
"Newly advanced to Overlord-tier."
"Don't resist."
"If you anger it…"
"I can't guarantee you'll leave this island alive."
This wasn't a bluff.
Before setting out, Headmaster Sheldon had told him clearly:
Suppress Donghuang by any means necessary.
Even killing them would be covered up.
Qin Yingying's voice trembled.
"Ethan… what do we do?"
Ye Kui stayed silent, but her heart was pounding.
Ethan smiled calmly.

Seeing his confidence, the two girls retreated.

"Let's fight."

"Sand Abyss."
The beach shuddered.
Sand began to flow like water.
Screams erupted.
"My legs—! I'm sinking!"
"Help me! Something's pulling me down!"
Nearly half the western students were dragged into quicksand, buried up to their necks.
Before anyone could react—
Gabite and Swampert burst out from beneath the sand.
Panic spread instantly.
"Attack them—now!"
"Victreebel—Seed Bomb!"
"Torkoal—Flamethrower!"
Before those commands could land—
"Graaaah!!"
A blue blur tore through the sky.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
Five or six Pokémon dropped instantly.
Hovering above them was a furious Gliscor.
Yago's eyes nearly popped out.
"That shiny Gligar—?!"
"It evolved?!"
"And it's already commander-tier?!"
But the shock didn't stop the assault.
Gabite, Swampert, and Gliscor moved together with flawless coordination.
Whenever an enemy Pokémon tried to strike—
It collapsed as if its mind had been shattered.
Hidden within the forest, Hatterene calmly executed battlefield control, psychic attacks falling with merciless precision.
Then—
"ROOOAR—!"
A massive flaming bird erupted into the sky.
A blazing meteor crashed down into the remaining western forces.
Skeledirge had entered the battle.
The outcome was decided.
What had once been an overwhelming army… was now utter chaos.
Silius's calm finally shattered.
He had to act.
"Kommo-o! Dragon Rush—!"
Before Kommo-o could move—
BOOM!
A gigantic foot slammed it into the sand.
Silius froze.
Before him stood a prehistoric monster nearly four meters tall—
Tyrantrum.
"ROOOAAAR!!"
The roar alone shattered Silius's will.
His vision went black.
He collapsed unconscious.
The beach fell silent.
The western students stared at Ethan as if he were a monster.
Ethan scratched his head, looking… disappointed.
"Huh."
"I thought you guys would be stronger."
"Turns out—"
"Not a single one of you can fight."
