Chapter 3 - ⚽️003- Introducing the squad.

"Hello, everyone. Since the coach is gone and we don't have anything doing, why don't we go ahead and introduce ourselves?"

"Yeah."

His smile didn't fade, his eyelids still not open, "Okay, I'll go first. I'm Tanaka Akaji from room 9. I'm in my first year in high school, and I'm 16. I love reading books. I'm not really good at many things, so I hope we'll all get along."

"Okay! My turn!" A short guy shouted, standing from the couch.

His eyes were widely open, and he had a cheerful grin on his face.

"I'm Watanabe Ryuto from room 11. Also a first year, 16. I've loved playing soccer since I was little, and I'm a huge fan of Messi! I love spraying walls and drawing stuff. Nice to meet you all!"

"You love spraying walls? I love 'em too!" Another guy said, raising his hand.

"Cool! Let's spray together sometime. Let's see who's better."

"Hmph! You look like someone I'd have lots of fun with. I'm Shoichi Nishimura, room 7. Nice to meet y'all."

"Kimishita Nakatani room 4, first year too and 17. I love listening to rap, and I'm a bit noisy, so bear with me."

"I'm surprised you admitted that." The guy who argued with him previously cut in.

"Yusuke you...!"

"I'm Kagami Yusuke, room 5. I'm from the same school as this block head, and I love playing soccer. Also, I love writing… ah! That's all from me."

That didn't seem to be all from him, but the introductions kept on going anyway.

_Snore snore…_

We all turned to a big guy at the back who was already fast asleep.

Shoichi punched him in the abdomen, and he sat up immediately.

"Eh? Eh? Did something happen?!" He asked, looking around.

They all laughed as he sighed, "Sorry about that. I'm Ichiro Yagami from room 1, also in my first year, and I'm 16. I love… Huh? What do I love again?"

"Sleeping?" Shoichi asked.

"Yeah… wait, no! I usually helped my granny at her place before coming here. That's all from me."

"Wait, you're 16?!" Kimishita asked in disbelief.

Ichiro Yagami was a really big guy, I'd have believed him if he said he was in his third year.

"Heyo~ I'm Emi Tachibana, room 8! I don't know… I love hanging out with friends and having fun. Have access to any party, and I'm your girl."

"Okay! Now that's something fun." Kimishita said.

"I'm Aira Hijikata, room 6. Well… I mostly work in my parents' patisserie. So i love baking stuff and finding new recipes." The pink haired girl from earlier said.

'Oh, we might actually hit it off.' Or so I thought at that time.

"Oh then I love you." Kimishita turned to her, grinning widely.

"Uh…" Aira started, furrowing her brows.

"He only thinks of food, ignore him." Yusuke explained, shaking his head in embarrassment.

"Haha..." She chuckled awkwardly.

"Kisaragi Misaki, room 12. I like reading comics." A girl with long black hair said, pushing her glasses in.

"Uh… h-hello guys… I'm Haruka Nanami, room 2. I l-like drawing a-and travelling."

"Chill out, okay."

"I'm Ogawa Yui, room 3. The only thing I can remember having fun in is karate. Oh…" She started, turning to Kimishita, a smile on her face.

"My brother also loves rap and plays loud music all the time."

"Cool! I'd love to me…"

"Ah… he's been visiting the hospital for some time. I bet you'd meet him there sometime."

His smile faded quickly as he rested back on the couch, "Uh… I'd behave."

Well, better not get into her bad side.

I finally understood the people I was made to live with in SW East, and I have to ask, what the hell's with this management?!

Partying?! What the hell does that have to do with soccer?!

It's like they just got tired from picking out talents and just decided to throw in whoever they found.

"Ah, Kudou-san, you've not introduced yourself."

And the coach just stood up and left?! Wow, nice coaching we've got here.

"Kudou Atsushi, room 10. Uh… I'm good at cooking. Uh…" I started.

And I just made it so damn worse!

What does cooking have to do with this?! Oh, I'm so damn boring!

"You cook?" Aira asked, turning to me almost immediately.

"Uh… yeah. I love gardening too." I smiled, rubbing the nape of my neck.

"Really? That sounds nice." She smiled.

"Y-yeah…"

I was wondering why she looked so excited until I knew more about her, I wish I never did know that part.

"Well, that makes all of us. I do hope we'll be able to work together." Akaji said.

"Yeah."

"Haha, you guys seem fun." Ryuto said, lying on the desk.

"And now, for the chores." Akaji continued.

"Urgh... chores."

"Now you're trying to escape chores?"

"Well…"

"We've got our cook till those working at the cafeteria arrives. Aira-san, you can handle it, right?" Akaji asked.

"Uh…" She started, looking away.

"Don't tell me…"

"Ah-haha." She chuckled awkwardly.

"W-well, you could bake stuff for us too. What about you girls..." Akaji continued, turning to the others.

He stared at them in disbelief as they looked away, some trying to whistle.

"Oh… what a surprise."

They didn't know how to cook, want me to spell it out for ya?

"Um..." I started, raising my hands slightly.

"If it's okay with you guys, I'll handle the cooking."

"Ah that's right! He did say he was good at that."

I used to live alone, so cooking wasn't that big a deal.

"Okay! Kudou-san, we'll leave the cooking to you."

"Cool."

"Allow me to assist you in the kitchen." Aira said, winking at me.

"Damn, that lucky bastard." Kimishita cursed.

Well, they didn't strike me as bad people, so it felt like we'd all get along. Hopefully.

The team introductions were completed, and the others became a lot closer after that.

With time, everyone got to know more about themselves and their teammates.

I was still hoping that my current team is better than my previous team.

Anyway, I planned on working harder towards my goals, whether the methods were allowed or not.
