[Scene 1: The High Citadel Roof] The twin violet suns of Planet Nexus were dipping below the horizon, painting the obsidian spires of the city in shades of bruised purple and deep indigo. Riha sat on the very edge of the Citadel's roof, her legs dangling over a drop of ten thousand feet.
The wind here didn't howl; it whispered.
She had been on this planet for six months. Six months of bone-crushing gravity, six months of isolation, and six months of evolving from a broken human into something... more. Tomorrow was the Trial of the Ancestors. If she passed, she would shed her "Subject" status and officially become a citizen—and the Empress—of the Shadow Empire.
[ The Shadow Lord's Wisdom] A ripple appeared in the darkness behind her. The Shadow Lord didn't walk; he simply manifested, his presence cooling the air. He sat beside her, looking out at the empire he had built and was now handing over.
"You look different than the girl I bought in that cage," he said, his voice like grinding stones.
"The girl in the cage died in the Amazon," Riha replied, her hand unconsciously touching the Void Ring. "The woman sitting here is made of the treasures of a dozen dead civilizations."
"Tomorrow is not a test of your weapons, Riha," the Shadow Lord said, looking at her with a rare flash of pride. "The Ancestors don't care about your staff or your swords. They care about your soul. They will try to drown you in the shadows of those you've killed. They will try to see if the crown will crush you or if you will crush the crown."
He stood up, his cloak billowing like a cloud of ink. "I believe in you. Not because you are strong, but because you are relentless. Pass this, and you will finally be allowed to sync your soul with your weapons. You will not just wield them; you will be them."
[ The Internal Fire] After he left, Riha closed her eyes. She felt the First Chakra pulsing steadily, but she could feel the Second Chakra—the Svadhisthana—vibrating, waiting to be unlocked during the trial.
She thought of the Vimana sitting in her ring, the Chronos-Dagger, and the Dragon Sword. She was a walking armory of Earth's greatest secrets.
Riha (Internal Monologue): The Council thinks they can use this trial to get rid of me. They think a human mind can't handle the weight of the Shadow Throne. They're about to find out that a human mind fueled by revenge is the most dangerous thing in the universe.
[ The Final Prep] She stood up, the gravity of Nexus no longer feeling like a weight, but like a familiar embrace. She had spent 180 days preparing for this moment.
Tomorrow, the "Shadow Sovereign" wouldn't just be a title. It would be her reality.
